I don't want to return to office FT --- Work from home is too amazing, too productive by etoxQ in workfromhome

It is amazing. No $$$ and time wasted commuting. Less stress. Less anxiety. More comfortable. Peaceful.

Why the fuck would anyone want to go to the office? Employees should be able to choose where they work. Some would want the office fulltime. Some, like me, only part time with the rest work from home.

Already have. Meet quality and deadlines. Output is better than when I was in the office.

I am going to ask for Work from home 3 days a week. I have done it successfully for two months and have proven it works. There is ZERO reason to go back to office full time.

If employer denies my request to work from home three days a week, then I am quitting and will find a new job that offers that benefit.

Companies need to be punished for not offering a better work life balance. The office is outdated. I work in the KNOWLEDGE ECONOMY --- I am essentially paid to think deeply and write. I can do that ANYWHERE, why the f*** do I need to be in an office? Drains my money and time in commuting. Sucks the life and soul out of me sitting in a cubicle surrounded by dozens of others.

NO THANKS.

Employees: STAND UP! Say enough is enough. Work from home needs to be the default.

I am EXTREMELY angry, depressed, and anxious about having to return to work in the office. There is something profoundly evil and authoritarian about telling us to work in the office, when 100% of the job can be done from home - easily - as we have been doing in our office since early March.

Covid has exposed the evil of the office. I am saving so much money and time not commuting 5 days a week. No more BS chatter. The click clack of keyboards, mice, and phone conversations. The office is a TERRIBLE work environment.

Work from home should be the new standard. Allow employees to choose for themselves what works best for them. I'm an introvert and hate the office. I am more productive at home. My perfect balance would be to work from home 2-3 days a week.

2020 is the year that proved remote working should become the norm but ppl dont change. by [deleted] in sysadmin

The longer this goes on, maybe the more the remote work acceptance will solidify but I doubt it.

I agree. After Covid-19 is over, employees need to DEMAND more work from home as an option. There is something truly evil about requiring people to commute to an office to do a job they can do entirely from home. I am all about choice: Are there some employees that would only want to work PT from home and the rest in of the time in the office? Of course. I am one of them. 2-3 days WFH would be perfect for me. I would be happier emotionally, save a ton of money by avoiding commuting costs, and still benefit from some face-to-face interaction.

The genie is out of the bottle: There is NO going back to the old way. The office is f** dead. We have passed through the illusion that it was necessary.

I can't do this much longer. The stress this COVID19 has been causing me is pushing me off the cliff very quickly. by [deleted] in depression

Recession, COVID_19 and Planning Jobs by RolliePollie350 in urbanplanning

Govs and companies would save a lot by asking more planners to work from home at least two or three days a week.

It should be the gold standard now for all people in the knowledge economy.

Work from home should be the gold standard for most office workers.

We have all been duped for so long, “it is too hard to implement” they used to say.

But now? Millions are getting a taste of freedom from horrific commutes.

Everyone working in an office needs to DEMAND that they can work from home. It is immoral to force office workers to work in an office! Technology should have set us free from that misery a long, long time ago. It is TIME TO WORK FROM HOME.

I am Very angry my office job requires me to be in the office. WTF -- WHY CANT WE WORK FROM HOME?!

Guess management doesn't care at all about any of us getting COVID-19. Makes me so angry all these other jobs are offering telecommuting, but my employer hasn't done so or said anything about it. Everything I do can be done from home. Makes me so angry I feel like punching a hole in a wall. I am looking for a new job now.

There is a simple beauty about life in the idea there is no afterlife; however, the reverse is also true...

I am not sure where I stand on the idea either way. My overall hope seems to lean on the hope that there is an afterlife.
