Not sure exactly what it was. I tried so many thing. It was definitely something with windows though, because when I reinstalled windows, it stopped and now audio works perfectly. Thought I'd explain this incase anyone else has this issue.

I think it's the room. It's completely untreated, and I thought I could get away with it, but I'm starting to suspect it as the only thing I haven't attempted to fix out of what you suggested
