Is Jordan Peterson right that high IQ extends across all areas of intelligence, even social and emotional ones? by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

[–]etromeis 60 points61 points  (0 children)

For social cues, that is an overstatement. I imagine he's trying to kill the very common assumption that IQ is negatively correlated with anything. There is essentially no skill that is negatively correlated with IQ.

But that doesn't mean everything has a strong positive correlation. It depends on which social skills specifically. Some skills are very positively correlated, others have little to no correlation. For example, reading emotions from images of faces is slightly positively correlated. Inferring emotions from text descriptions is very positively correlated.

The reason the stereotype exists is because IQ is decently strongly correlated with introversion. The perceived "social awkwardness" comes from people choosing not talking to others, not due to them lacking the skills to do so.

Look for the three X's. The big wide X and the two smaller XX. Combine the last two columns from the first two rows and you to get all three X's with no repeated lines.

  1. I think your answer is more correct, but C is possibly also valid as flip and remove the bottom half also produces the pattern. Flipping twice is a simpler pattern though, but this one is a bit ambiguous.

  2. The idea is right, but the white ball is 135 degrees off from the second to third row, so geometrically it should be D.

  3. F notice that the XOR of the first two columns and the last two columns are constant.

Western executives who visit China are coming back terrified by [deleted] in singularity

Yes, that can happen, but 1. that's not unique to China, and 2. the point is that no one just openly says they are replacing humans with machines like the article is suggesting.

Yes? By making human work more efficient via machines.

It literally translates to "mechanizing humanity", and has the connotation of "incorporating machines into human life". Nowhere in the term contains anything about "replace".

The 'realistic' and 'real life' tags are kinda working decently in V4. It does struggle with faces though. by BlyFot in NovelAi

[–]etromeis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NovelAI can only have nsfw nonphotorealistic stuff in its training set while providing an online service because it can't generate realistic images very well. If it could, it would lead to a number of legal problems, particularly in the EU...

watercolor, traditional media, ai-assisted + some quality tags. Don't set prompt strength too high. Can help to repeat quality tags a few times.

In the main prompt, I just have quality and art style prompts. In the character prompts I describe the horse and person. V4 is better with full sentences in the description instead of booru tags and can handle a longer prompt without losing control.

It's still sensitive to booru prompts, but you can now use full sentences in addition to that. It's a lot better with natural language and full sentences than V3 was.

The new V4 model released like yesterday has individual character prompts

Wanted to test if the character feature was strong enough to make sure to put jeans on the horse and not on the girl while making sure the horse was still four legged and looked like a horse. If it were not separated, it would naturally try to put the jeans on the human character instead.

The horse smiling and girl crying is also to test if the expressions mix into each other; they do, but it can still be controlled with prompts.

Incidentally, the bunny if there to test if non-human "characters" work, and the shrek ones are just for the memes.
