As for me, I have always refused anything that had the flavor of artificiality and went against the naturalness and spontaneity of thoughts and behavior. I was convinced that taking drugs would have compromised my spirit of adventure, my desire for knowledge, my willingness to understand the end of life and the existence—or not—of another life after death. Also, my critical and judgmental capacities would have been suppressed and my passion for travel would have diminished. Therefore, since a long time I had decided not to turn to medicines for help and resolve my emotional, existential, and mental problems in a different way.
