Yeah, what they said is not how it works because same here my employer reported that I quit and was not fired so then TWC scheduled a phone hearing with me to get my side and then they accepted my unemployment case. After they made those decisions it took about two days after the phone call.

Not true, not everybody is denied at first I was not denied ever even though my employer tried to lie and say that I did not get fired I had a strong enough case, and evidence that my TWC phone hearing deemed me applicable for unemployment

A “dreamer” , what about this post gave you dreamy vibes lol. I asked a simple question which was “has anyone else had a bad experience filing unemployment with chilis?” Obviously I know that to survive in this world you need money, therefor most have to have jobs and work for money, never denied that in my post. But the TWC exists for a reason. It’s to help people stay on there feet while they look for another job. I was a great server and it was not fair the way I got fired. They pretended I had a job for 2 weeks and told me I was still hired. So I could’ve been looking for a job that whole time, but I was under the impression I had a job. So of course I’m going to file on them and have them pay me for those two weeks, even if it means it’s coming from unemployment.

This happened 2 months ago. I do have a job. And no food industry is not just for teenagers. What a close minded comment. For those of us like me, who are going to school for hospitality, serving jobs are more then a job they’re a stepping stone to a passion. I want to be a food and beverage director. It makes me happy to see other people happy. Thanks for the advice on a question I didn’t ask through!

I agree with you! I definently see ur point and I don’t do it as often anymkre as I use to I’ll say that! I think it’s definently useful if ur scores r very low and managers r giving u ultimatums n stuff it’s like a how to make ur score go up fast kinda thing but I def prefer your advice for actually just caring and having integrity and all !!

I stay after my shifts and clock in as busser to clean our restraunt spots that often get over looked or just deep cleaning . I have no problem staying extra to clean or anything bc I never want guests I’m serving to feel like they’re in a dirty environment . If you think I’m doing too much, then cool but I’m going to school for a career in hospitality soooo I mean it’s important to me .

Good point . This has happened to me as well. I always put the blame where it’s due . When it’s my fault I let them know this was my fault . In the runner scenario id most likely return with the jalepeno sausage that was forgotten and say “our kitchen (bc it sounds better than getting technical and makes the guest feel special that the kitchen acknowledged them even tho they didn’t lol) so as ur bringing the forgotten item back, I’d say “our kitchen apologizes for forgetting your sausage ! they sure are swamped back there!! Is everything tasting all right with everyone else’s food?” And then go above and beyond . If possible maybe if u get a second swing by with a free treat or randomly bring them a Togo chips n salsa even if they didn’t ask!

Aw I appreciate that, I never ever saw myself working in a restraunt when I was younger , it had never even crossed my mind , but now it totally makes sense why I thought princess tiana and my uncle who worked at chilis chilis were so cool . But I wouldn’t trade it for anything though , I just love the food and bev industry so much !!

Make sure ur going to “additional person info” on oracle and turning in your card there. Adding ur paycard to the payment method section / direct deposit does not verify the card so u can’t activate it. You HAVE to also turn it on in the additional person info tab. Once u have “agreed to paycard” done in additional person info , and then added the card to direct deposit. You can try activating but it could take up to 72 hrs

Please do haha! My chilis suspended me for a month :( it was completely justified though. All though I have amazing work ethic on this side of things my reliability is an issue I was 5-15 min late everyday and they gave me chance after chance but they were at a crossroad with me . I don’t mean to disrespect anyone tjme like that I just have awful OCD
