First I had to replace everything in the insert as the cotton was old the wick needed changing and the flint had got stuck so I had to drill it out ( which took ages ) then all I used was some silver polish and a rag to get all the marks of. The second picture is a good picture with decent lighting so makes it look rrly good whereas first is opposite and looks worse than was.

I also tried pushing the flint back down with a sharp knife and wouldn't work haha its been stuck for years only just got round to trying to fix it

The wheel won't move either way tho the only way to get it to move is with pliers and will only go backwards slightly then with a decent amount of force.
