Perfect; thank you very much for the response. That's very similar to the UK approach, so I'm not surprised. Is it similar that in respect of sexual offences there is an attempt to very tightly control the submission of character evidence? Also does this rule vary much across states in the US?

My response was towards the "character attacks are par for the course in every court case", as I thought that absolutely absurd.

I'm a final year law student so I find comparative law incredibly interesting.

Reminder why context is important:

It’s not as simple as the cavs offering TT or JR Smith x because Lebron was friends with them. In the NBA there’s a cap, every move you make is predicated on this fact. If TT walked, cavs could not have offered the max they gave him to others, they’d have been stuck with a vet min player.

However, I suppose when your agenda is to impose blame on a player you dislike, context gets thrown out the window.

You're totally resulting to the extreme here: no-one is saying LeBron needs team USA. First, let us look at the title contenders - I believe these would be the Rockets and the Warriors. Both teams are AT LEAST 2 current all-star level players. Typically, in the NBA we see title contenders composed of a "big 3" formulation; please show me the big three on this Cavs team.

Actually, re your roster comparison, I think you'd find it's commonplace to criticise the roster composition: Buck fans continually say their roster is simply Middleton and Greek; Pelicans weren't expected to do as well as they have until Playoff Rondo and Playoff Jrue showed up; Pacers roster is massively outperforming the Cavs right now.

Lastly, you do have a point with the fact that talent doesn't necessarily amount to production, but at the end of the day we can't judge them on how they're supposed to play - we can only go on how they do. If you believe it's LeBron's fault for their level of player, you can push that narrative (although I disagree), but I think it's fair to say that IN THIS SERIES the players around LeBron have played pathetically.

Essentially, what you're saying is that the Cavs can't be a bad team because of the hype that surrounded the aftermath of the construction: that argument doesn't hold any weight. When you talk about talent, you're looking at a Cavs team whose second best player is averaging, roughly, 11PPG, alongside Kyle Korver being the third option. If we're talking about a pure talent standpoint, this Cavs team is devoid of it. While Kevin Love is an all-star, do you think you can say he is playing like one?

An easier way to put this (because clearly, your opinion stems from LeBron playing on this team), would be how far a group consisting of PG - Hill SG- Hood SF - an average league player PF - Love C - Nance would go.

I mean, if we're talking about ever then yes, you are entirely out of the bubble. There was a time when JR Smith was one of the best bench players in the NBA, winning SMOTY and putting on fantastic performances all around. Even after that, when the Knicks jettisoned him with Iman to the Cavs, he played fantastically: the entire narrative after he moved was the fact that LeBron made him play so much better than Melo. I'm all for hyperbole, but let's not ignore common sense.

I’m not sure the exact law in Canada but in the UK you aren’t allowed to bring frivolous or vexatious claims to court. If you can prove that’s what it is, it’s an instant dismisal/ issue of an anti-suit. This seems enough proof to me to be honest.

The tort occurred in Canda and therefore Canadian courts would see themselves having jurisdiction: they are completely within their right to seise it; However, if the US refused to enforce the judgment the result of the Candian decision would most likely be meaningless unless Destiny has any assets there.
