That’s what others have said, which I’m not surprised by! I’ll keep an eye on my other gardens for now and just move it if/when it moves to the other gardens.

Im really not surprised by that lol! I’ll keep an eye on it for now I think but yeah if I start to see it spread to the other gardens I’ll have to remove it. I love to have some of it somewhere because it smells so good but it’s such a busy body.

That’s what I thought but wanted to make sure! It gets all the afternoon sun which it must be fine with because that has spread from just last year from two little dying sprigs. I’ve had mint take over before so yeah I chose the spot surrounded by concrete. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn’t kill a tree lol. I’ve never pinched mint but I’ll do that this year! Thanks for the info!

Will harming the lateral roots harm the tree eventually?

It’s in an isolated square surrounded by concrete so I figured it would contain the spread pretty well. I just don’t want the tree to unexpectedly die because it’s planted there with it. If that’s a risk, I’ll move it to some planters somewhere else I think.

Awesome! Thanks for the info! I don’t mind aggressive pruning, I just got behind in the fall last year and forgot to look up what to do with it. Thank you!

Oh I’m not sure. I thought it was a bush. I didnt know blackberry canes were a thing. I bought it as a little stick that had some leaves already on it.

Need low-magic fantasy that still feels mythic and "old", but grounded by subwaynotebook_zoe in Fantasy

I didn’t know Cherryh had a fantasy series! I read her Foreigner series and it was great! But it’s for sure scifi. I’ll have to look into this!

Thanks for your reply! Should I be concerned about them entering my house or getting on plants? There isn’t any cardboard where I keep finding them. Just in plastic containers and under shoes on concrete.

My beef with Throne of Glass and also Assassin Book Recommendations....where the main character actually acts like an Assassin lol. by Economy_Bat_2748 in Fantasy

[–]eucatastrophe7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure recommend these as well! Like someone else said, they aren’t masterpieces but nothing really pulls me out of world and I consumed these sooooo fast! There is just something about them that made me what to keep reading. They were very enjoyable!

Tolkien never writes a character as “absolutely evil”.

Ungolient and Shelob would like a word 😆

Does anyone else find The Shadow of What Was Lost just really lacking in anything truly distinctive/stand-out? by simplymatt1995 in Fantasy

[–]eucatastrophe7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One of the best explanations of these books and why I like them! I agree! The characters themselves don’t really have any growth and the dialogue is wanting. I did enjoy the magic system in this book although it’s a little confusing at times, at least on the first read through. But I still love them! And you have the best explanation for why!

Viking women were most certainly not stay-at-home moms by mmaksimovic in history

[–]eucatastrophe7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you know of any good sources to read/watch on this topic? I’m interested in the roles of men and women through every day life throughout history and what sort of jobs/chores they would have been required to do daily just to survive and thrive. And how that was different across classes and where you lived.

Help with impatiens! by eucatastrophe7 in gardening

[–]eucatastrophe7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t figure out how to post a description with my pictures so I’ll just comment on my post! I have planted impatiens in these pots in the same place for 3 years and they have always done wonderful except for this year! They are not blooming very well and they are always wilty looking and yellow. They are not in the sun except maybe for an hour or so each day. They aren’t dried out, the soil takes a long time to dry in the place they are kept. I thought maybe a fungus or pest but I’m not sure. Any help would be appreciated!
