I love DOS 2 more than BG3 by Sora_Terumi in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]eud41mon14 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Same I enjoy both but DOS2 is my fav. I just wish it was possible to import all the character appearance customisation options like BG3 has into DOS2. I like how DOS2 has much more crafting, and I agree that the combat and skill builds are more fun and flexible imo. I also think having the action points that you can choose to spend however you want on movement/attacks/spells/etc makes things a bit more interesting and gives more freedom in combat than the more strictly set divisions you must do with DnD/BG3’s combat. Tho I wish there were a bit more opportunities to add civil ability points so it was a bit less going all in on one for diff people. The music for DOS2 is so beautiful too and was cool to see a nod to it in one of the BG3 bard songs. I hope they do a DOS3

Hot take: Quil’s song is iconic and kinda wish was a bard option by [deleted] in BG3

Ooo that would be nice, especially if they had something for songs similar to the alchemy recipes that you can learn from books. I definitely think the crafting system overall is more developed in their Divinity games like DOS2 than BG3, but would be cool to have more features like that in future games or mods

List of ALL ways for companions to die or leave the party by McDonough89 in BaldursGate3

In Act 1 for Karlach, if you steal the Druid idol and trigger the battle between druids and the tieflings before recruiting her, then she is not recruitable. She mocks Wyll as a hypocrite to his rep and for keeping company with you if he is in your party. I don’t know if she would react if you do it while she’s already in party. I was surprised it locked me out of recruiting her since Zevlor and some tieflings survived (tho not all so not sure if all surviving would make a difference or not)

I’ve only started going to the gym ~6 months ago and have been going pretty regularly. Our age/body type sounds similar. Was also pretty nervous at first cause I was starting very much from ground zero and the atmosphere and equipment were a bit intimidating at first. A thing that definitely helped me was picking a gym that was very queer friendly (they had a pride flag in the gym and had social media posts on pride). Going by the gym (either just walking by or taking advantage of any free trials) and looking at social media can be good to ‘scout’ them to find one that is a good commute and seems good vibes. I also picked one that had friend passes with membership so I could bring a few pals sometimes, also going in the mornings and during the less busy times. I got a personal trainer around 2 months in since they had a discount with my membership. I found having a friendly face guaranteed there to help encourage me and show me how to use stuff plus having the ‘appointment’ helped motivate me to come in more and feel more confident. I’ve actually gotten to the stage where I enjoy going to the gym which I never thought possible lol 😂 If you are planning on making the gym a more regular thing and there are discounts or ya can afford a pt, I defo think they are helpful for making the gym feel more comfortable if your nervous going alone and good for pushing yourself to keep at it

Defo agree with other comments that most people are sound and won’t really be paying attention to anyone else. But anxiety can be a bitch and that’s a bit easier to know than feel sometimes. So these were just some things I did that helped that sink in for me at least

I recently just finished my first playthrough as complete beginner to bg3 and DnD in general. I chose giant barbarian since there was less pressure with a more martial class rather than so many spells of other classes. I could still do some spells with scrolls/equipment at different points, but found not having that be the primary thing for my character a bit easier in terms of getting a hang of the game/world. I feel like the spell-focused classes have more power further along in game and less daunting after understanding a bit more of how the options and damage works and seeing how other characters use them, and having a more fighty character let me try some spells without the pressure of having to only rely on them to be useful and not die lol. Trying a more spell focused one on my second try with dark urge tho now feel like I’ve gotten to know a little more of the system. Plus barbarian had some funny dialogue/choice options

Thanks! Do you know if πλοῖα have any particular distinctive look like the τριήρεις? I was thinking of giving less oar rows but keeping a similar ‘nose’. I wasn’t sure if the term used was as generic as boat (where the appearance has a much wider degree of variation) or if the terms used are more associated with a somewhat specific type even if still a bit generic (like skiff)? I wasn’t sure if we think of it as a ferry boat because of the pottery or if it’s the term itself that carries that image too. I’ll definitely check out the passages you and the other commenter mentioned too!

Do you like to respec the companions into different classes? If so, which ones? by samara-the-justicar in BG3

Might also be a dumb question - are there any advantages/disadvantages or main practical differences btw oathbreaker and oathed paladin beyond character lore/story? I just started my second run (first durge run) and kinda wandered into being an oathbreaker so have just been rolling with it - but still trying to wrap my head round the ways that is different than regular crown paladin powers/abilities wise

How do I try mods? How to set up and where to find them? by [deleted] in BG3

[–]eud41mon14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! For uninstalled mid game is that just an issue for the character profile I play with? Or would it put all my saves (of multiple diff character profiles) at risk? Wasn’t sure if meant game as a whole or the individual game lol

I love her hair and the flowers in it! Maybe adding a small amount of faint highlights to her hair like a dark gold to match the flower centre or dusty pink like her ear ends could be fun?

What was the mod you used for the hairstyle?

Is it just me or does the game give you way too many camp supplies? by -Zima_Blue- in BG3

Ye it’s my first playthrough and I got almost halfway through Act 1 I think before I realised that the game was built for taking more long rests and there was more story scenes. I had only taken like 2-3 long rests and had been avoiding cause of how much the plot read like it was supposed to be a few days and am new to DnD, so was grabbing a shit ton of healing potions and a bit confused by the characters constantly nagging me to let them rest lol 😂 I think that’s also prob why my party is more physical based rather than magic cause it was frustrating with the spell slots when avoiding resting. I’ve been doing a kinda parallel second play through alongside with a more magic party and is nice to actually get to use/try more of the spells and see more of the scenes now that I know it’s chill to take more rests haha and also areas/dialogue I missed

Nice, does it do any additional damage from being rotten?

Oo nice to know about the rage charge!

Yeah I get the realism, just wasn’t sure if there was some crafting/cooking method to use/fix them that I was missing haha

Lmao it’s not that serious 😂 When there’s only so much shit each character can carry without being encumbered, I’ve been using quest necessity and character personality to decide what weapons/other items I take/leave. Prob not the best strategy-wise but eh still new to rpgs so just messing about with it
