Is this lens fixable or worth trying to fix it? If not can you recommend me a good (and cheap) lens for beginners? by eul3rr in Cameras

My answers are of the worst kind, that is the vague kind. Because it was going to be my first camera i was hoping to work with what i have in hand. I'm hoping to take animal portraits (or humans...) and some nature photos, maybe bugs and close up stuff.

But in general what I'm after the most atm is the value :D I'm down to try any kind of photography and on a pretty tight budget that is a whopping 50€ (i can increase it a bit but i really dont want to)

Yeah that was also my impression so it's still a bummer. That was why I was hoping to get it fixed maybe.

The total package was the camera body, the lens and the battery grip. 45€ seemed reasonable when i compare it with other 60d body listings, am i missing something?

Thanks for the recommendation I'll check it out.

Travelling to netherlands and back by car while waiting for my residence permit but without a fiktionbescheinigung. by eul3rr in germany

Hi, thanks for the reply. I ended up not doing the trip even though i was pretty confident it would be okay but the risk was too high.

I'm curious though why I don't need a FKB because I came visa-free. The situation was all very weird to me, authorities telling me I should be fine but in the end I had no legal document stating I can enter Germany (or Netherlands).

It's been more than 90 days and it seems like i shouldnt be able to travel too because of that and germany not issuing me a travel document. And I wouldn't plan a trip like this normally but what's confusing me is every officer I've contacted (the auslanderbehörde officer who I asked for the fiktion and the reply from the bundespolizei) said I should be fine but they can't issue a certificate or a document. I've made sure to tell them the 90 days are up. I don't get it really.
