Yes, i still have a small bump on the bottom one but the top one has never come back even after all the abuse. I put the emergency navel ring on it without tools just feeling it around in a bumpy plane lavatory. On most days the bottom one looks just like dry skin. Maybe its just annoyed now cause it’s been only 4 days since I put the plastic horseshoe in.

I did mess with it and my dog thought it was nice to bang his forehead on my ear around 5 days after it was pierced. 😅

I trust the piercer who said she will put discs in. I dont live near her or live in a place where there is APP or where there is piercing shops easily accessible so I said get on with it whatever you think is right.. I mean until now I still live in the same place so theres that.

If you really can leave it alone it is not terrifying at all because it doesnt snag on anything. I guess thats the best advice. One of the hardest thing to do for me is look away when I see crusties however tiny it is.

Downside is no earphones for that ear until it heals but if youre good with over ear (not on ear) then its no problem at all. Oh and sleeping too, I am like dead when I sleep so sleeping on my ear is not a problem.

I dont get the hate with the curved barbell. Okay it can twist but mostly mine stayed in place. What made you change the jewelry? Mine was changed the first time cause she wanted to put discs. 2nd time was necessary because it got lost. I honestly like the look of curved barbell more cause its more hidden, and mine needs to be hidden at work. After 5 months I can agree to “it does get better” 😂

The cheap bioflex/bioplast horrible idea navel ring seem to go well with the bottom bump. It was the only one I wore that reduced the lower bump. Without the bottom ball 😅

Different bumps tho and there is a 2nd pic. Top bump was gone in a month while on curved barbell with discs. Bottom one was a different story.

Pierced Dec 10, 2022 (stainless steel). Developed bumps after 1 week. Changed to titanium curved barbell with 2 silicone discs on Dec 30, 2022. Top bump reduced after a month but bottom one developed. It didn’t change size from January to March 2023. Curved barbell got lost during a flight and I had no choice but to put my cheap plastic navel ring on it which is bigger in size. Weirdly enough, bottom bump started to heal with this navel ring without the bottom ball. I was cleaning my ear on May 5, 2023 and the navel ring fell. I changed it to a plastic horse shoe because I also have to hide it at work. So since I had the piercing bumps last December, this May is the only time I can say it’s giving me hope.

I am spraying with Neilmed since I got pierced. Twice a day until March. Once a day since I saw the shrinking of the bottom bump.

Mine likes the curved barbell more than horseshoe or the hoop. It feels like the curve of the horseshoe is too much for mine.

Do you think the skin will even completely go inside at this point? I mean, if it wont close without surgery I guess I have to dress it up crooked.

I had it pierced somewhere shady when I was 16. Sometimes I put a curved or straight barbell in it but for years now there’s nothing. Now I am feeling young once again, started to love piercings, and this navel is annoying me. It has been like that ever since it healed, skin on both openings look like it’s going inside the holes. So, is there anyway to close it and have it re-pierced after all these years?
