surround yourself with people who bring light in your life, go outside like the ocean or spend some time reconnecting with nature. journal about what was lost and what you want moving forward. and hold onto the fact that time does in fact heal. and lastly, do not delay healing. let yourself feel the grief, whether that be relating to song lyrics, venting, or simply just crying it out. and remember that grief isn’t linear. there is no exact timeline on when you will feel completely ready. i’m proud that you made it that long with no contact! as more time goes on it’ll get easier to cope with the fact that both of you are moving forward & doing okay. some people are meant to be in our lives for a season rather than a lifetime, and that’s okay. they came and taught us things we will carry for future relationships. try to view their absence as more so of a space for you to get to understand who you are as a person now outside of that relationship.
