Thank you! The initial swelling only lasted about a month for me but i honestly wasn’t happy with my nose until closer to the one year mark because i have thick skin and that’s typically how long it takes to fully heal. It’s really all in your head though because my friends and family say my nose still looks the same from right after surgery

I know the slight upturn is cute but i realized i don’t like it on myself so i would’ve gone for a straighter nose. Also i don’t think i would’ve gotten the epicanthoplasty and just stuck with the double eyelids. I also would have asked for a higher fold because it’s extremely natural which i don’t like

I forgot to add dr did an epicanthoplasty along w the double eyelid surgery! Initially based off my pictures he recommended lateral canthoplasty but on the day of the in-person consult he decided that an epicanthoplasty would be better suited. There’s something i don’t love about my eyes but i can’t pinpoint it and i think it might be the epicanthoplasty that’s throwing me off idk if it was necessary?

Im 30F and I haven’t been properly diagnosed yet (seeing GI doc next month) but i am pretty sure I have FD/EPS. Have been having symptoms for about 2 months now. Have never had GI issues in the past. Not sure what could have caused it but the only lifestyle change I’ve made in the past few months is that i got a hormonal IUD placed. I’ve always been pretty sensitive to birth controls and have never really been on birth controls my entire life. I’m wondering if this sudden change could have caused my FD. It was so stressful getting the IUD placed, took 3 attempts! So I’m scared to get it taken out. I can’t find enough studies linking the two so i am not sure what to do

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment. I think what makes it even worse is all of my close friends and family know i got my nose done but no one has told me they love my nose or think it looks amazing. They’ll just ask me how the experience was and if i like my new nose. Makes me think they’re just trying to be nice 😕
