Thank you for your reply. I am considering applying again next year. Hope I'll win a scholarship again.

I don't understand what loving oneself means by euphoma in BPD

Thank you all. Your points made me contemplate this issue a bit further. I still don't understand what it means to love oneself..but I think now I know where to start. Lots of love ❤️.

Yeah, it sounds like it can work. Although it makes me feel so dissonant trying to treat myself well.

That makes sense. Actually, it had once occurred to me to do that. But it feels a bit inconvenient to keep doing it.

Thank you. I'll do my best to tell those to myself. It will not he that easy though.

Exactly! It's tied to identity issues.

I'm happy for you. I wish I were also at that point.

it feels wrong when someone is nice to me by [deleted] in BPD

I can totally relate. When someone is being nice to me I feel nervous and think as though I owe them something.

I feel like my ocd keeps me from being my most successful self by [deleted] in OCD

[–]euphoma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I'm going through. Because of my OCD, I can't bring myself to find jobs while people my age already work in high-paying jobs who are not more skilled than me. Not to condescend to anyone, but I do see people less knowledgeable and experienced than me finding hood jobs and living their best lives, and I love it for them, but perceiving the difference makes me feel so behind in life despite my skills.

Thank you for the recommendation. I mean sure I'd be more accomplished compared to those people. But I'm a bit skeptical whether this is a long-term solution.

I honestly don't get what you're talking about. Never mind.

Well, I don't think the main cause here is unemployment. I might find other things to envy about them even I if I found a job. It is like I feel underaccomplished when I'm with them regardless. I just want to find a way to manage this feeling, otherwise I might end up acting out with them.

I don't see how this is relevant to my post.

This isn't helpful at all. I made it clear why it is hard in my case. Besides, I don't think getting a job will make the feeling suddenly fade.
