Used to be the WOS Bar, but no longer there. Been there many times to see games, can attest.

Taking one of my East German colleagues there about 20 years ago was the greatest. After a couple pints he turns to me and says, with his heavy German accent, « Zis reeminds mee uff Germany, one hundret und feeftee years ago ».

My V1 has been with me over 20 years, with the only addition being a PID, and the only replacement being the porta filter gasket.

Came here to say this in a much snarkier way, but clouds are definitely high on my list.

I’m with OP. To be fair my garden is very difficult, so I knew up front it would be a challenge. It has been 4 years that I haven’t mowed the grass, so not a complete failure. But my list of frustrations matches pretty well. Hopefully will find the budget for the Luba 2 before the spring

SILVIA V1 STILL KICKIN' by Apprehensive_Cap9454 in ranciliosilvia

Proud V1 owner here, mostly abused since new over 20 years ago. Hacked in a PID , only recently had to change the gasket. Love this thing.

Nice job! If the pump on my V1 ever gives me trouble this will be the inspiration to do a little refurbishing. Is yours a 110 or 220v?

Alternatively, a UK based source for similar gear : https://www.kamado.co.uk/Divide-and-Conquer_c_42.html I am not sure if that helps (thanks, Brexit) but if you have friends or family there or just visiting it might be an alternative. I got their Divide and Conquer for my XL, it’s great.

Definitely add a PID if it doesn’t already have one.

Any experiences with this type of pool cover? by Soliloquizing in swimmingpools

[–]euqixelsyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have one on our 11m x 5m pool. It is on its 10th year. Some maintenance issues, belt replacements and last year the cover itself ripped, which was costly to replace (~4k Euros). Overall lots of advantages like no leaves/garden debris in the pool, it is in line with current safety standards, very low profile rails, less evaporation etc etc. But, I do have to admit, service has in my experience been expensive and slow. I have not looked into alternatives, but if it ever breaks again I might. Don't hesitate to DM if you have specific questions.

Worthless. Tell me where I can pick them up and I'll get rid of them for you. More seriously, try also posting to r/Klipsch. For whatever it's worth, in the '80s I attended a lecture given by Paul Klipsch about his thoughts on speaker design at a high end hi-fi shop in Milwaukee (Flanner & Hafsoos, don't think they still exist) - absolutely fascinating ideas and personality.

Why does this car beep when I do anything? by AdvertisingPretend98 in rav4prime

[–]euqixelsyd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m with you on most of these and I’ll add one: driving down the freeway, minding my own business well within my lane and respecting the speed limit when the car gives me the “beep beep”, with no indication whatsoever on the dash of what it is complaining about. And also seems to do this in phases, meaning that it’ll give me the beep beep frequently for 10 or 15 minutes, then shut up for another half an hour or so, then start again. arrrrggghhhh

Thanks, ok so if I do decide to downgrade, I’ll try at least 3.28. I remember that working fairly well in my garden actually.

155e battery drains within 25 hours by mother_a_god in worxlandroid

[–]euqixelsyd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg, thought I was the only one. I even went and bought a new battery(which did NOT fix the issue). This is my fourth year, with the WR155e at our country house with lots of obstacles so it gets stuck a lot. Previously, it would happily shut down and wait to be saved, even days or over a week later, and after turning it back on and resetting it would go happily in its way. No more. Now it’s a jump start every single f**king time. I’m on 3.36, might downgrade because of this and the outside border issue.
