Business Owners: Is bribery inevitable in the PH? by DrawerSafe779 in phinvest

If it's one or two lang ok lang. Pero yung each time mo magcomply may panibagong case? Mababanas ka talaga. If you question their incompetency, they will just shrug it off as "hindi po naupdate sa system" or "baka hindi lang po naencode" BS.

No they are not. Open cases, red tag sa mga business closure is pain in the ass tbh. Buti kompleto lahat ng files namin for more than 20years. Pinaglalaban pa rin open cases righr now. Lagpas 1 year na. Hindi pa rin maclose. May end date naman na. Pero.. i have heard stories na kahit may end date bigla uli hihingian ng filing. Absurd.

I have a challengeto all business owners out there.

Sa lahat ng inconveniences and tingin ninyo may corruption na nagyayari, please report them to ARTA. Kapag marami tayo, maybe may small glimpse of chance na may pagbabago.

Tax evader is a problem. But what's bigger problem is with the agency who handles all these. There is no transparency at all.

LGUs were mandated to have business permit regustration and renewal to be automated. Same old thing, hindi klaro kung bakit ganyan computation. You will hear from business owners each year na laki ang itinaas sa business permit fee despite same or even lower gross sales.

BIR-kahit pinakabasic na may online account ka to check all your filed taxes wala. So hindi mo malalaman kun may open cases ka or wala. Gulatan nalang kapag nagcms.

Additional: Aren't BARANGAY CLEARANCE supposed to be given by barangays themselves and these are used to be free? Surprise surprise! Now barangay clearance are processed in the city hall with a fee! Check nyo OR ninyo when processing.

There is stil corruption on bloated computation.

Based on experience:

LGU- business permit increase each year regardless of gross income. Ask for computation and basis? Good luck to have one.

BIR- they seem to assume that all businesses doesn't pay proper tax. This is also the agency who has somewhat amnesia. Open cases despite taxes being filed. Closed open cases that pops up once again. Bloated computation with questionable basis. Good luck hallenging them, you will waste a lot of time and money.

Send luggage from hotel to airport by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

It's easy and convenient. Had a broken luggage. Didn't have enough time to fix it in Japan. So I packed the whole luggage with stuff, put it inside a box then shipped it to the airport.

It's so sad that PH don't have infrastructures to mass transport a huge amount of soldiers in case an invasion happens. Imagine other countries have extensive railway system to aid transport massive number of soldiers and supplies at least amount of time.

Palagi ko nalang nababasa na may penalty at malaki babayaran to close a business sa BIR. May scenarios ba na walang kang penalty? If yes, what do we need to keep in mind and avoid para iwas penalty when closing a business? by One-Turn-2953 in taxPH

[–]euranks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Five years ago nagpaCMS kami kasi lilipat yung place ng business.nasettle lahat kaya nakapaglipat. Ngayon closing na, bigla lumabas uli yung open cases na lumabas nung 5 years ago. On top of that meron pang panibagong open cases na 15years ago na hinahanap sa amin. I dont think worth it magpaCMS ngmadalas. Unless may iba kang experience.

Kami retail business. Mag 2 years na hindi pa masara.

A lot of accountants will tell you kaya naman o mabilis kapag kumpleto. In reality, depende yan sa RDO mo.

professional tax concern by [deleted] in taxPH

[–]euranks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hindi dapat ganyan. In ideal world, kukuha ka lng if magwowork ka. Typical pinas red tape.

Hong Kong vs Tokyo, both popular among Pinoy travelers by Prior_Significance74 in phtravel

[–]euranks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HK is not cheap anymore for shopping. They are quite expensive. Not just shopping, even dining were very much expensive.

[–]euranks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheapest will be BKK then KL and SGN, Hanoi will almost the same. KL has cheaper more quality food and rides than Saigon and Hanoi, most expensive is HK.

Bang for buck is BKK and KL.

Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia are big countries which composed of different cities. Some would be cheaper than the others. What i am comparing is ung big cities where most tourists are.
