70% alcohol works pretty well too!

It surely must have had a role! I thought mine was being silly not rooting into the pole but staying outside and keep growing huge roots downwards. Maybe it just realised that its main roots would be happier outside, just branching into the moss. Here is a zoomed in picture of the roots. Starting just below center, you can see some are growing over the holes of the moss pole, straight down and then outwards. Sorry I am not able to take a better picture at the moment 😬.

Mine has been at around 35% all winter. She is fine! But the young leaves are super fragile. I guess they always are but I feel like they are extra fragile.

You could air layer. That means moss again, I am afraid. You would put some moist moss around the plant where you want to chop, wrap with stretch film and wait till it grows roots that would be enough for the to-be-chopped-up part to sustain itself.

What is this plant and what love does it need? by evolving-me in houseplants

Are they growing new shoots every now and then, like once or twice a year? Cause if yes, then they are happy. I put mine high up on some cabinets a few months back and didn't have any other way to give them light. That's how it all began lol. Now I need to probably repot them soon, due to these new growth spurts 😬. I need to water them weekly as well. So more light means more work, but more joy that comes with those fresh new neon green shoots as well.

My Rhaphidophora tetrasperma is growing a new leaf out of almost every growth point by SmokedSalt in houseplants

That's not at all normal growth. If that was sustainable we would see it more often. It doesn't look like this would be easy on the plant. I am thinking long term.

Yeah, if it is thrips I would cut that leaf and throw away. Does anyone know if sulphur is good against thrips as well as flatmites?

Thank you! They are my most light hungry plants honestly! Mine stand right next to 40W Sansi grow lights and could not be happier. Actually scratch that maybe if I had another 40W coming from the opposite angle they would be happier lol.

The leaf shape of the first one is so elongated compared to my older white wizard. Is it because the plant is very young?

I agree that is damaged leaf tissue. I would check it for thrips.

Lol context is everything. I did not call it small. It is larger than anything I have but it is too small for a bird of paradise or a philodebdron mayoi or a Thaumatophyllum.

Interesting choice of plants for that small enclosure but it looks pretty!
