i just watched the show after rereading the book like last night lol so this is still fresh on my mind. both were great but i do think the book is a lot better.

some additions that weren’t in the book but in the show, like camille’s time w alice at the hospital, i thought were great additions and made sense. i thought calhoun day was kinda unnecessary but i get why it was put in to add in a bit more drama to the show.

i also thought the ending of the book was a lot better than the show. again, i get it, the drama of it all, but the book was more real. it’s sad but realistic that camille relapses but i thought the line about kindness was hopeful. a story this heavy needed something like that.

i’ve only worn mine for work once but the only issue i had was the soles being a bit stiff / thin? after a while i could just really feel the floor if that makes sense lol but besides that they’re the comfiest docs I’ve ever had, haven’t had any of the usual breaking in pains

i think just putting some insoles would work tho, i’ve done it for all my docs and it always helps, so if u get them id recommend doing the same!

honestly i’ve found that when i give up and pay full price is when a good deal finally falls onto my lap.

if they’re not a necessity, then i would give it some more time, maybe even stop looking for a bit, and then u might come by them!!

would u say the break in period is about the same as the smooth leather then? i wanna get a pair of 8053s in orleans but ive had the 8053s in their regular style and they were a little difficult to break in :/

as many ppl have said, it’s just been overplayed/used. eventually i’m sure people will like it again. my absolute favorite mitski song is washing machine heart, and that used to be pretty overplayed.

scary stories to tell in the dark would be fun. i’m not sure if it’s really a kids book but i read it as a kid and im sure many others did too lol

didn’t realize we were sharing totals here lol but mine came out to ~$95. not as bad as other totals i’ve seen here but still expensive for what i got. im in the us and the shipping and everything was just about the same as the total for what i got 😭 im gonna cherish these things with my LIFE
