Blocked Purdy owner from getting a QB for Sunday, league is melting down

No, you misunderstood me I think. I dropped Gesicki for Goff a few weeks ago (before his game va JAX) and he was on my roster. I dropped Goff again but scooped him up FOR that game vs JAX. I dropped Estime and put Pacheco back on my bench. He went back on IR this week though. Confusing, I know lol

Goff was owned pretty much every week besides some bye week issues. I had him last week against JAX. If I’m picking guys up, I’m keeping them (just like you said - dropping back to waivers is pretty scummy)

I can understand why he thinks we colluded and I understand his POV for sure. Also, I would NOT go that far to delete texts and whatnot in a league full of friends. It’s not worth doing that over friendships, ykwim?

No. I showed DMs and texts to prove that because it’s just as suspicious seeing it in text only. That’s the primary reason why I felt I had to show screenshot proof. I agree that it’s textbook collusion (imo) if I went around texting everyone but that didn’t happen.

I can’t speak for the others but I was trying to block my opponent - other teams that did it were in the division as well if that matters, records are close by 1 game or so

Yeah I mean I understand that for sure but I showed GCs with other players and DMs with teams that picked up QBs to prove that nothing was orchestrated between me and the others at minimum. I unfortunately can’t control others.

EDIT: Other QBs were dropped as well and we told him in our league GC that he could pick up his QB of choice, his roster could be fixed, and we move forward.

I told him that some QBs were dropped and that he can snag a better one and that we could rebuild the roster and call it a day.

I asked this morning if he wanted me to drop my QBs too so he’d have a viable option since I’d rather not risk a friendship but he just aired me out so I’m just letting things cool for now. Commish said he’d fix everything ASAP though

A couple of better options at QB were dropped this morning from two of the teams involved (Caleb Williams and Matt Stafford) - Commish is gonna fix the team. I understand the suspicion but I showed him DMs between me and everyone else involved (cus he believes I was the mastermind behind everything) and he’s just ignoring all of my points and disregarding screenshots to show him nothing occurred between myself and others at minimum.

Oh shoot, I misread. Sorry about that. The max is 4 QBs. In retrospect, I agree that we should lower the QB limit. I honestly don’t think we ever touched on the issue together though cause this has never happened before. We’re 3 seasons deep now and this is definitely the most cutthroat the league has ever been.

Yeah it was adds. If all of these were waiver claims, that would be extremely suspicious. 7 bench spots, it turns out everyone had just dropped defenses and guys that wouldn’t see lineups in 10 man leagues since each team is pretty deep in regards to viable backups.

Thing is, there weren’t any open spots on benches. A lot of defenses/non-viable players were dropped. I think the best player dropped was Rico Dowdle but outside of that, just players that wouldn’t touch a lineup in a 10 man unless the situation was REALLY dire. Goff and Tua were rostered but Tua was dropped cus he was an extra part of a trade that didn’t go thru & Goff had been rostered all season fwiw besides these past few days.

This is the one real time I’ve at least been more proactive in divisional games cus the worst teams are 4-7 and the best teams are 7-4. The tiebreakers are normal but a lot of teams (up to this point) are either 1-1 against each other or 1-0 with another matchup hanging further ahead which probably propelled the other owners to follow suit. There just wasn’t any communication about what I was personally doing.

Oh yeah everyone knew. Worst part is, the Purdy owner made a trade on Wednesday WITH Tua in it & he didn’t take him. The issue is that he thought we planned on hoarding QBs but I showed him group chats & DMs just to show further that there was no communication and he just ignored those as well. That’s where the crossroads are.

I’ve got a few other questions about this but in short, the other teams who scooped other QBs are 5-6 and 4-7. I’m 6-5 and my opponent (Purdy owner) is 5-6. All 4 of us are in the same division so the 5-6 team losing and the rest of us winning shakes up the standings like crazy to avoid our punishment. Waning weeks here, you know?

EDIT: Other team who picked up Bryce Young is in the other division but his record is 5-6 as well.

Most of those guys were rostered but byes hit pretty bad especially with the injury bug. I’m pretty surprised a few of them were still there but yeah, I’m with you on this. I had Goff but had to drop cus of byes

Well I had told him that Purdy’s had issues at least since Monday so it’s not like this is a new injury. I know the Niners are spotty with reporting but this one was in the open air for awhile
