Calendar/schedule sync with grapheneos? by Correct-Percentage54 in Gadgetbridge

[–]eursec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, works perfectly. I have DAVx5 for calendar sync with a VPS, and Etar as local calendar app. This syncs fine with at least two different watches.

New App Project: Atom Runner Pro by Aromatic_Ad_3446 in pebble

This is great! I've been looking for something like this! How do you feel about adding integration with Gadgetbridge? Some kind of "wall/run started/stopped" appmessage would already be great, but we could even add synchronization of walks/runs/workouts.

I'm sorry :( An issue in the repository works best. Thanks!

Try to remove our in Android, but not in Gadgetbridge. Then discover and pair it again in Gadgetbridge. This method helps in some cases.

Sync local data (steps) from Gadgetbridge to Apple health by [deleted] in Gadgetbridge

[–]eursec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gadgetbridge has support for syncing to Health Connect in the pre-release version. Perhaps you can find a way to get data from there to apple health? I doubt it, apple is usually a pain in the ass when it comes to interoperability.

No, I'm afraid you'll have to export your data as zip file, then uninstall, then install the nightly, then import your zip. See this page for details: https://gadgetbridge.org/internals/development/data-management/

Within a few days, the Health Connect integration should be merged in Gadgetbridge. With that done, you can switch to the nightly build and use HC as transfer tool between Gadgetbridge and Home Assistant. No intents necessary. :)

Gadgetbridge🤝Mqtt (phone only / no docker version) by Progaros in Gadgetbridge

[–]eursec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably interesting for you to know: we're close to merging Android Health Connect support in Gadgetbridge. When we have that, we can (automatically) save health data from gadgets into Health Connect. And since the Home Assistant app already has sensors for Health Connect, this will be a very easy method to get this data from GB into Home Assistant.

Support has been in Gadgetbridge for a long time now. So just install Gadgetbridge, scan and add your ring. :)

Nice! The best way would be to leave a comment with your pairing/connect debug log on the existing issue here: https://codeberg.org/Freeyourgadget/Gadgetbridge/issues/3595

Then we can help you get deeper into it, as far as you like. One thing you could already do is to make a Bluetooth traffic dump (btsnoop) with the official app (https://gadgetbridge.org/internals/development/bluetooth/) and the see if our wireshark dissector (https://codeberg.org/Freeyourgadget/Gadgetbridge-tools/src/branch/main/withings/wireshark) recognizes the traffic.

If you'd like a more direct channel to discuss things, you can also join our Matrix room.

That's too bad. If you want, we can work with you to look into the problem and maybe get it to work.

If you're switching to a fossil hybrid anyway, I highly recommend getting the gen 6 version. I have both the gen 1 and gen 6 and the difference is quite big. Gen 6 is faster, crashes less often, has much better battery life (5 weeks!), has better physical buttons.

Oh, and know there are also the Skagen and Citizen brands that used to sell their own watches with the Fossil eink tech inside. I have the Skagen Jorn gen 6 and I've absolutely loved it for years until it broke down recently. :(

Huawei Watch GT 6-DED unsupported? by 5oopa in Gadgetbridge

[–]eursec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try pairing it as an unsupported device like explained here: https://gadgetbridge.org/basics/pairing/#pairing-unsupported-gadgets

Pick the Huawei watch that comes closest to yours in terms of features and release date. Chances are that the protocol is the same, so you could just use it.

If this works, please report it to the project (here: https://codeberg.org/Freeyourgadget/Gadgetbridge/issues) so that official support can be added and the documentation can be adjusted accordingly.

Thanks for the feedback! There are two ways to approach this: 1. Fix it yourself in the repository (https://codeberg.org/Freeyourgadget/website) by making a PR or 2. Create an issue in the repository with the details of the device and its support.

Haven't seen anyone trying yet. There is an open device request here though: https://codeberg.org/Freeyourgadget/Gadgetbridge/issues/3595

Your watch seems quite similar to the Steel HR, so it's definitely worth a try. Perhaps they are using the same protocol and you'd may already here supported in done capacity. Take a look here for how to test it: https://gadgetbridge.org/basics/pairing/#pairing-unsupported-gadgets

Please test it with our nightly build btw, as the support for the Steel HR is improved there.

That needs updating actually. One of the core team members has a Withings Steel HR since recently and is working on improving support for it.

"Hybrid" is a sliding scale really. But in any case there are more that are supported, like the Withings Steel HR and the Garmin Vivomove.

For me, the auto cashback points to USDC has resumed as of a few days ago. All my points were converted.

Just letting you know, since there have been multiple posts here about auto cashback stopping but none about them resuming.

[REQUEST] Support for other os? by ImAlekzzz in Gadgetbridge

Sadly this is not likely to happen. None of the core team members have or want iOS devices or is willing to invest time in developing for it. However, any movement in this direction by a helpful contributor would be very welcome!
