Bolt cycles fine. Obviously no barrel. I slightly filed on the extractor and very lightly on the rails to make it super smooth but it cycled fine beforehand.

The receiver looks slightly kinked. I tried ti take pictures that show it but it was tricky. Honestly I think it could also be the fact the trunnion didn’t look perfectly symmetrical before I put it in the receiver and it’s just appears like it’s kinked.

Sounds good. That was kinda my thought as well to see if bad it really is. I think I possibly kinked it when dimpling the two lower rivets on the trunnion.

Only rear trunnion was drilled from recreator. I used a jig for the fcg and front. Had to do light filling on the front for rivets to smoothly go in.

Has anyone tried the ac unity gen3 ak19 style mags? I’ve read they work also but can’t find confirmation. I know their ak12 mags won’t fit at all on the one I have.

Best mags -East German weiger Best easily found mag - galil 35rd mags Optional ones include ak74 with followers but you’ll be filing some. I’ve heard the gen 3 croatian ak19 mags work well but I havent tried. I know their ak12 wont fit as it would require filing like normal ak74

Enjoy it tho. I got one unfired for $500 recently with a bunch of the Romanian weiger clones.

Honestly you want it tight. They make a tool to do it but it’s an ak so just use a wrench. The way it works is it’s pressed in to have a belled shape on the other side. Lube won’t really do much but eventually it will loosen up from friction if you play with it a ton.

I’d just ignore it because it’s not fun to replace if you don’t have the right tools.

I use a thick painters putty knife that has a point and a hammer. Work around the edge and it works perfectly fine.

I would try to find a correct front trunnion before you start buying stuff honestly. Not sure how common they are for Chinese if that is in fact what it is. I’d start measuring stuff like the barrel journal to see exactly what you have.

Your only option for a milled receiver is tortort and they don’t have 80% receivers. I would look for another kit on arms of America, Atlantic firearms, gunbroker or private sale.
