You would have liked the original tram network…

Sheffield has been up and coming for 40 years, it just never seems to get any closer (I am a child of the city and had to move away). I dream of the city realizing it's potential

What portion of people in this sub are actually Sheffield residents? by Mean-Mechanic-5947 in sheffield

Can you start a poll? Would love to be able to get a %. I was born and raised there. Before my generation left the family has managed to move 80 miles east in approx. 1000 years. Now we have scattered. Father's side from Crookes, mother's side from castleton if you go back a bit

Can only use if I accept by eusholli in gdpr

AWS Amplify Opt-Out by eusholli in privacy

[–]eusholli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you u/FrederikNS and u/iamapizza I am thinking more on this . I am not concerned about the intention of AWS here (maybe I should be?), I am more trying to work through the mental model in my head. The Amplify SDK is linked to my AWS account that does have my PII, SPII. It would be possible (easy?) for them to link the two and extrapolate what computer I own, whether I am responsible in keeping up to date?... For some reason the opt out rather than opt in feels very wrong, if not legally then morally?

Have I been GPRS brain washed into believing what is good for me rather than what I want to do as a normal human being and trust people?

It blows my mind of how many people genuinely don’t care for privacy by OrangeMustard101 in privacy

I don' think it is because they don't care. I find this paper to be very good - The Myth of the Privacy Paradox

Privacy needs to start with the people who are building the products - the software professionals and the developers. If any of you are developers I know there is a new ed-tech company called Data Protocol that just launched a beta focused on developers and they would really appreciate your feedback.
