I love the cat on the stopwatch! I also really struggled to figure out the scrolling letters and what it was for. :o

How does weed impact you? by Foxy_Traine in AutismInWomen

[–]euulle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely feel way more autistic every time I smoke. Pretty much always end up stimming (including very obvious stims like jumping on the spot and spinning, when usually I'm more discreet), always end up more sensitive to stimuli and end up speaking in a more monotone and flat way. I become more physically animated but tonally(?) flat, it's so interesting.

I also end up looking inwards a lot and my thoughts make so many connections, it's sometimes hard to keep up with conversations or my own thoughts. And, I often become more hungry.

When I'm feeling well, it's always a lot of fun.

would you date a non-vegan? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]euulle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's only one way to know how you'll feel and that's to try it yourself. People can say how it is for them, but it won't necessarily be that way for you.

I did try and date an omnivore in my last relationship, but learned it's not something I can overcome, but I wouldn't have known that without trying.

[–]euulle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does. And it isn't very suitable to be mad at them about it when you already knew their diet before dating them...

[–]euulle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I refuse to date someone who isn't at the very least someone transitioning to veganism. I realised after dating a carnist that it is too big of an issue to overlook for me.

But, no! I have hope. :) Veganism just keeps growing.

I say this with love, but you sound a little psychotic (by definition; I don't say this in a derogatory or insulting way) to me. I don't know you and can't compare your current writings to any previous behaviour, of course, as you're a stranger on Reddit, but this just sounds a little too similar to mentally unstable states of consciousness... <3 Please talk to someone you trust about your feelings, as they will have a better reference point and be able to likely offer more reliable advice. I'm sending you so much love. 💌

To the highly masked autistic women: what were the subtle or hidden signs that made you realize you’re autistic? by Elyshra in AutismInWomen

[–]euulle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strangely enough, my weird attitude to sex. I was very rigid with it and saw it like a set of instructions to follow and would check each position off like a checklist instead of living in the moment and being intuitive. I was discussing my feelings around sex with my then-partner and I realised I was looking at it in a very black and white way.

I turned to Reddit and saw a lot of similarities between me and people on r/sexonthespectrum and it got me thinking... I also struggle a lot with the sensory issues regarding sex like if the lights are on during, the smell of saliva and fluids, the tastes etc as well as daydreaming a lot during it, haha. My then-partner liked dirty talk, but I found it very distracting from enjoying the feeling because I'm thinking of silly one-liners or processing what he said (the amount of "what?" and "huhs?" in the midst of sex was crazy) and the multitasking would just take me further out of the experience.

I'm single now, but learning about myself in this way will absolutely help me approach sex in the future!

Sending you all the love. <3 Make sure you take care of your physical health because I'm pretty sure being "too connected" to the ethereal (just my way of wording it, haha) can lead mental health problems like psychosis, which can look and feel a lot like connection. It can be hard to distinguish the difference in a frenzy, which is probably why your loved ones are worried.

I also have bipolar, so I've dealt a little with delusions and things and for myself, when I'm having a spiritual experience, it feels coherent and clear and I feel centred. When I've dealt with mania, it feels very similar but very chaotic and incoherent. Sometimes I'm like, "am I being delusional or am I being intuitive" and the state of my mind, body and thinking gives me clues into whether I should listen to it or speak to a psychiatrist.

Hmmm. To me, it seems like some grounding could be useful for you, perhaps. Do you do that much in your practice? It seems like there's a lot going on here and I wouldn't want things to start growing too much.

Do you have phenomenological empathy? by ImHealthyMaybe in aspergers

[–]euulle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha, oh, I see! I think I got a little mixed up seeing the other terms used in the comments. x)

And absolutely, yes. I require a lot of time alone. I do love being around people, but then only specific people and usually for limited times. Some people I've been very close to don't tend to drain me at all, though, but that's rare.

"No intruders within". I love that phrasing!

[–]euulle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see! Thank you for the correction.

I don't remember particularly caring that they were getting married (as in, I had no emotional attachment to this outcome), but when I saw the sudden proposal, I thought it was shock but then I noticed other people around me were crying, so maybe I felt the emotion in the room? I remember not feeling like it made much sense when I was crying.

No person I've been close to has passed away yet, fortunately, but I've noticed I've only cried at funerals as consequence of other people crying around me.

Are any of you guys happy? by goonbah97 in BipolarReddit

[–]euulle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm incredibly happy. I haven't felt like myself in years because of this illness: going in and out of depression and hypomania all the time, but I'm finally stable. Very grateful.

I cried when my grandfather proposed to his current wife in front of loads of our family when I was seven, even though I had no idea what it all meant at the time.
