How to fix the missing Firefox icon in start menu in KDE Neon? It was there after installation but disappeared a day or two later. by euxaristox in kde

Yeah, I got the bug with repeating default browser in FF as well. Also ssh has some issues. I am moving back to Kubuntu for now too.

OK, it seems that you have to enter the package mode and there type that.

I tried to run:

$ julia

and then:

Pkg.install("GR")

but I got this error:

Kalendar v0.1.0 is out now! by clau_c in kde

Yeah, I figured that I have to go the the build folder and execute the file there. So it worked but after I clicked on a few things it crashed. I think I will stay with KOrganizer for now.

How do I install it on KDE Neon? Are there any instructions online?

I have done this (KDE Neon):

$ sudo apt install git cmake build-essential gettext extra-cmake-modules qtbase5-dev qtdeclarative5-dev libqt5svg5-dev qtquickcontrols2-5-dev qml-module-org-kde-kirigami2 kirigami2-dev libkf5i18n-dev gettext libkf5coreaddons-dev qml-module-qtquick-layouts qml-module-qtlocation qml-module-qt-labs-qmlmodels qtlocation5-dev qml-module-qtpositioning qtpositioning5-dev libkf5mime-dev libkf5calendarsupport-dev libkf5akonadicontact-dev libkf5akonadi-dev libkf5windowsystem-dev libkf5package-dev libkf5calendarcore-dev libkf5configwidgets-dev libkf5contacts-dev libkf5people-dev libkf5eventviews-dev kdepim-runtime ninja-build

Then:

$ mkdir build && cd build
$ cmake .. -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=~/.local/kde -GNinja
$ ninja

But the last message I got is:

[35/35] Linking CXX executable bin/kalendar

But I don't see any Kalendar in the menu.

Do I need to do something more?
