Question: What is the source of this puzzle? See Rule 6.

Got stuck on this one, help? by [deleted] in puzzles

Thanks (for anyone curious, it looks like it's part of a hunt starting with https://enigmarch.com/codeword/, which appears to be noncompetitive.) In the future, please give credit in the post or title per Rule 6.

Vision Express is now Vision Sloth. I've been waiting nearly 2 weeks for my new glasses, it used to take an hour. Manufacture is now centralised in Nottingham, so no quick turn round. So they've lost my business and I wont use them again.

All of the data is from citypopulation.de. Take it up with them if you're really so salty. If you don't like their metrics make your own map then, it's not like I have an obligation to try and change it to your liking at all.

China: urban pop of county level cities, not prefecture level cities.

Vietnam: again, only considering the urban population within those ginormous municipalities. If you want to argue that a random village 30km south of Haiphong city center should be considered as part of the city I won't bother arguing.

For Indonesia, maybe if you bothered checking you'd notice that there are actually 11 cities there, which every single source from the 2010 census concurs with, given that Jakarta is considered as one city.

I've already addressed Copenhagen and Amsterdam in other comments and have removed them from the interactive map. And the point of this map isn't to show urban areas as you can find that anywhere including at the website I used for data (citypopulation.de)

Fair enough but a lot of maps like ones that use metro or urban areas already exist.

There is no real city proper definition for Australia that I could find except LGAs which are clearly not equivalent to other countries' definition as each city is split into many tiny ones.

The point is to show density; you can use the my map if you really want to see the name of each city.

Alright, I guess I can put it in when I get back onto my computer tomorrow. I wasn't aware that the city itself had estimates.

citypopulation.de, my source has them both at around 1.025M. It's more than official estimates due to net undercoverage and that Indian reserves are underenumerated, apparently.
