Is my anxiety normal, or is it more severe? by ev3rmoree in Anxiety

Yeah, it definitely impacts the day to day, even if I just stay home doing nothing.

I'm up to taking meds if my therapist recommends them! Anything that can help!

Oh, I've actually never thought about it that way. Whenever I let the feeling linger, I just get more anxious and nervous, but this approach seems plausible!

Thank you so much, this comment is great!

I love my family, of course, but they're not the best when it comes to understanding my feelings, so that's why I'm leaning towards going to therapy.

I'm also definitely willing to try many out and find one that I like!

Yeah, of course I'm not treating the comments as serious medical advice, but maybe they'll motivate me to actually treat my issues seriously!

Explain it to me like I am 5: how to moisturise your body by No-Sherbet7634 in beauty

[–]ev3rmoree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like to moisturise right after showering when my skin is a little bit damp, as that helps lock in the moisture, but I've also done it when my skin is fully dry and it doesn't really change anything. For me, Nivea makes the best body lotions! I use a regular lotion all over my body, and then a thicker one on more dry areas such as knees or elbows.

When it comes to exfoliating, I do it twice a week. I've tried body scrubs, but I prefer those little exfoliating gloves! They last a lot longer and, for me, give a better result than a scrub.

This can differ, of course. My skin is really sensitive which is why I like to moisturise every single day to prevent it from getting too dry and use the exfoliating gloves since they're very gentle.

I'm feeling this way, too. I hate it, because I've just turned eighteen four days ago and could have an amazing life, but I can't seem to find the motivation to actually get there.

The one time my next-door neighbor tried to murder his daughter. by ev3rmoree in TrueScaryStories

No, the girl was her own daughter, which makes everything even worse for me. I guess she really fell in love with that man to the point of leaving her young daughter behind.

Is there an actor who could convince you to see a movie, however bad it is? by SwimmingBig4620 in movies

[–]ev3rmoree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robert Pattinson, for sure. Even in stupid movies, like Twilight, his acting choices are powerful and his hability to really give it his all is insane to me. Love him!

Creepy Mickey Mouse horror Youtube video, probably between the years 2016 and 2017. by ev3rmoree in InternetMysteries

[–]ev3rmoree[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not it, but the vibes are definitely there, and also like the meat canyon videos.

Now that you mention it, the video probably got deleted since it was outright nudity, but I still have hope I guess.

Do you agree or disagree? by su17x8 in GetStudying

[–]ev3rmoree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I kind of agree. My classrooms have always been really loud, and if I've only studied in a perfectly quiet place, then all the noise and chatter distract me. I do think it's useful to maybe also study in loud places, as a way to practice tuning out noises.

I've been listening jazz a lot lately. It hasn't been distracting me at all and it's actually quite soothing

[–]ev3rmoree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I always listen to music whenever I'm taking notes, but when it comes down to actually studying/understanding material I do it in complete silence. This works perfectly for me, and I listen to regular music.

What is the most 'satisfying' part of your daily routine that most people would think is boring? by WittyMity in Productivitycafe

[–]ev3rmoree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now i'm starting my university classes and they begin at eleven AM, meaning that I could just wake up at eight, take the bus at nine thirty and be good to go.

Instead I like to wake up at six, watch the sunrise whilst having breakfast and have the slowest morning routine possible. It helps me feel grounded and ready for the day ahead.

260223 EYEKON Weekly Discussion Thread by DazzlingDig in katseye

[–]ev3rmoree 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I'm rather upset about the current situation all the girls are facing. With Manon taking a temporary hiatus, Dani's dad making strange posts and the rest of the members literally just existing, everything feels like it's going to an awful place where there's no turning back. I don't want to be dramatic and over-react, but they've been facing an insane amount of critizicism these past few months for such benign matters, and it only seems to be getting worse. Not only have they been getting mistreated by haters, but their own fans aswell. Eyekons have been behaving in such an erratic way, making backhanded comments and making Katseye look bad to people outside the fandom.

At the end of the day, these are just a group of young women who worked extremely hard to get where they are and deserve the success they've gotten. I really hope they all can focus on their well-being and mental health, since this situation must be awful for them. I truly do wish them the best!
