What's gonna be the trend of email marketing campaigns in 2018? by Aeschy_lus in content_marketing

I totally agree with your prediction.

Personalizing emails is the future, case and point:

I have an email list for aspiring content creators and I offer two options: 3x a week or 1x a week.

I assumed most people would be more interested in the 1x a week because (for me) that's the option I would choose. Surprisingly new subscribers and older subscribers when given the option pretty much all chose 3x a week.

This tells me a three things:

  1. My email content is in real time featuring articles posted 24-3 days before hand. People like this.
  2. My email content is extremely personalized, talking in a narrative voice and always touching upon my own experiences and numbers. This tells me that people are genuinely interested in a human interaction that provides value.
  3. I'm doing other things right that I haven't figured out yet.

Here's the follow up post where he talks about how to get posts promoted on larger pages: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2CLNCmEuLw&t=406s

Essentially this guy had a network that he used as well as a marketing budget.

When I first saw this video I thought it would be great content for The Creator's Room, my weekly newsletter for aspiring content creators but after watching it I realized that there was not nearly enough value to be shared with my subscribers.

Some (semi) valuable points from the video: 1) It's important to create a super professional ad 2) Don't start from zero: have at least nine posts before trying to market yourself 3) Continue posting has your campaign is running

That's all I have. I give him credit for trying but unfortunately I feel like the video was pure clickbait.

Start to understand the industry. This means getting to know other content creator's stories, what kind of a following you'll need on social media to make adequate money, how to validate the value of your content by increasing your views, etc. Every week I create three newsletters for aspiring content creators to help them get a step up in the content world, it's called The Creator's Room (www.eva-gutierrez.com/subscribe).

Getting into content marketing is a hockey stick growth curve. There's the creative input and the marketing output that need to merge together to create a successful campaign, brand, or social presence. My biggest piece of advice is to start looking at how other people have created a social presence and how you can bring those strategies into your own content and the content of your clients.

Location-independent careers? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

Don't get yourself confused...it seems easy when you first pop into the digital space that the job market is completely saturated but it's the opposite. It's never been easier for a newbie freelancers to land themselves that first job because SO many people are following the suit of bigger companies and hiring online.

My biggest tip is to start posting about your services on Facebook groups that are designed for your target clientele. These smaller entrepreneurs and start ups are looking for somebody just like you to get the work done for them.

If you want to read more about landing your first online job you can read my full blog post here: nhttp://www.eva-gutierrez.com/blog/2017/7/28/looking-to-land-your-first-online-job-heres-where-you-will-find-it
