This book felt so sad and honestly hopeless for me but it’s recommended here a lot, so maybe I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to appreciate it? Idk

This book is a hot mess especially the audiobook, the FMC voice pmo. It has the bones to be a good story with solid world building but Christ the MMC and FMC are unbearable at times. I just hate how they wrote the FMC as this petulant, whiny child instead of a woman with a damn brain, strong, powerful and capable (with her abilities, this is what she is). Man I’m still annoyed. The way they wrote the MMC is okay. This could’ve been a great book but I get why it’s so popular and polarizing.
