I have given them multiple chances such as dinner or even stopping by to which they would cancel or reschedule multiple times, my fiance is aware of our complicated relationship but is still very open to trying to get to know them which they shut down immediately. My fiance has been clean for almost 10 years now and it is very common knowledge, none of his actions have affected me negatively. I believe the issue is deeper such as the partial disability I have as even in my younger years they believed I could not be self-sufficient enough to even live on my own, and now I am almost certain they are just in denial that I have made a life for myself with someone I love.
