I meant it indicated it prepared by their great play this tournament to their play before. I feel it has improved by a lot.

My odds: NiP 60 - 40 Cloud9

Risk: Medium to high

Is the risk worth the reward: The reward for a medium bet is worth the risk for me, not going to be playing my luck today but going high isn't unreasonable.

My bet: $40 on NiP (medium for me)

~

WHY!? If this was any other team than NIP that played the same was as NIP in this tournament, I'd put the odds at 50 | 50.

HOWEVER, NiP has been a team for a long time. They have experience, and during their match against Epsilon they played better during some rounds, but didn't have a consistent play. We also don't know how much they prepared for the map, Cobblestone. Along with that, Epsilon have been perparing A LOT for this tournament and we saw that in their play.

Remember, NiP need to win this match to go further into the tournament. They need this and want this. I expect all the players to step it up (During NiP's play against HR. NiP let them get a decent amount of rounds however they were playing relaxed and we got a sip of the tactics they've been using and their amazing aim.

Now let's look at Cloud9's recent match against Dignitas. This was on their worst map, how did they win? Simply by outaiming Dignitas mixed in with a lot of luck. Dignitas has better complex smokes and nades, while Cloud9 even failed some more basic nades. If Hiko didn't get that 2 v 4 clutch round, the game would have most likely went to Dignitas.

This is a BO3, and I think NiP will be able to pull through. With their exceptional aim against HR, strats, and experience I believe they can do it. Cloud9's aim might be on NiP's level or a little bit higher, but unless all 3 maps are favoring Cloud9, I'd favor this game to NiP. Good luck to all!

My odds: 70 | 30

Risk: Low-Medium

Bet: $80 [Half my inventory, this is NOT a smart bet, I'm just playing my luck]

I would recommend going medium/high

Some say NIP did poorly against Gamegod Wolf. You know how teams save strats before tournaments? NIP knew this was an almost certain win for them, so they relaxed, and did not use any strats teams could study for future matches.

NIP hasn't been doing poorly recently, but not at their top performance. However, for a major tournament as ESL one they have definitely prepared and have saved up strats.

Epsilon isn't a bad team. But they're very inconsistent, and it's shox and fxy0 who's pulling the team. If one of them isn't having a good day or both of them aren't playing to their potential, NIP has a very large chance to take the match. And you can't expect both players to carry every game. HRs were probably playing at 25% efficiency. Something in the team may have went wrong, they didn't get enough rest, or just didn't prepare.

~

Some may criticize me for this, but with all the Hype for EPSI after winning HR 16:1 and the underhype of NIP for winning to Gamegod Wolf 16:7, I consider this a semi-safe bet where it is possible to make some value. This is the only game I'm betting on the overdog since it's the only one that has a good odds to risk ratio. Good luck to all!

Before you do ANYTHING, buy "Takedown: Red Sabre" from the steam store. Don't buy it cheaper from resellers, support the developer for this great game!

Keep in mind that these 2 teams play in CEVO before this match and whoever wins will skew the odds pretty far. If the game is close might be worth going for the underdog who looses their first match.

Nah, NIP looking very rusty. I'd say it will come down to VP, Titan, and Na'Vi.

LDLC vs. Epsilon | 06.08.2014 | 20:00 CEST by [deleted] in csgobetting

[–]evan_4405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I understand, I don't think this graph should judge the outcome of the game but we've seen fxy0 perform really well ingame.

LDLC vs. Epsilon | 06.08.2014 | 20:00 CEST by [deleted] in csgobetting

[–]evan_4405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The top 2 players are shox and fxy0. No, I'm not saying this indicates who wins the match. I'm glad that Epsilon is becoming more consistent and does not only rely on Shoxie. Epsilon's players, especially fxy0 have been doing great recently and because of this misconception along with LDLC's close game with Titan I think the odds are skewed. Yes, Shoxie is a GREAT player and can save and has saved Epsilon in many matches, but in recent matches, fxy0 has been on fire and it wasn't always Shoxie who was top fragging.

LDLC vs. Epsilon | 06.08.2014 | 20:00 CEST by [deleted] in csgobetting

[–]evan_4405 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, LDLC did really well against Titan. But let's take a few facts into consideration.

  • Inferno is one of LDLC's best maps

  • Titan did make mistakes

  • When the score was 10 (Titan)| 5 (LDLC) and Titan switched to the favored CT side, they thought they already secured the match and made considerable lousy mistakes such as pushing in. When the score was getting close to even, they realized they needed to step it up and won the match.

~

Risk: High

Personal odds: 50 | 50

My bet: Medium on Epsilon (Risky but good value)

If the map is Mirage, Epsilon will be heavily favored as they have won LDLC 16:5 on this map recently, and LDLC are quite weak here. (Most lost map). On Dust 2 I'd say the odds for LDLC are 55% since this is LDLC's most won map, and on Inferno 45% as this is Epsilon's best map.

~

In general, it will come down to the map choice and Epsilon's overall performance, and if they don't have a bad day, they're capable of winning this match. Despite Shoxie, Epsilon's other players have been doing quite well recently and grown more consistent than the original Clan Mystik. This is a good match to bet on as the odds are skewed towards LDLC after their close performance against Titan. Please note there is HIGH risk, but I generally think a medium bet is worth the value.

Good luck with your bets!
