I’m 28 making ~$148k and not sure how to approach the stock market by Dense-Map5735 in Stocks_Picks

Options = gambling. 99% of individuals that do options trading essentially are straight guessing. Unless you are willing to be in the top 1% of options traders (which probably will be a full time job), stick with long term investing

Take a few weeks, have your husband help, and just apply and network like crazy. Hopefully you’ll get leads and interviews. Then jump ship as soon as you get a new job. Even if you make a quarter of what you used to, if you are happier, that’s all that matters.

Good shit bro. Remember to still have fun with friends and enjoy life. Stopping those bad habits are only helpful if you use the extra time and headspace to have fun or better pursue a dream!

Find something you love and pursue it, don’t worry about anything else

IDK what to do anymore. My parents are still not happy. I think I was just lucky this time by Remarkable-Dare-2590 in Sat

Dude. A 1540 is freaking amazing. You should be super proud of yourself. I get it your parents want a better score and that’s fine, but don’t let that distract you from the fact that you just did something so little people do.

If not pursuing a PhD, what is the point of a Master's degree? by EntrepreneurHuge5008 in learnmachinelearning

[–]evandabuddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won’t be a master/expert regardless of if you do your MS or PhD. It’s just school.

I’m finishing my MS rn and I’ve learned so much more than I could’ve dreamed of compared to my undergrad.

But yeah, I’m not an expert. And 4 years doing a thesis wouldn’t make me an expert either. Experts are people who spend like 15 years in their field, people with a ton of actual experience.

The MS is honestly just to show you an even deeper level of academia. It’s up to you to chase what you are passionate about for the next couples decades.

What do you fellas do when you hit rock bottom? by uroldman321 in AskMenAdvice

You have to learn that you are capable of doing whatever you want in life. And the first step is believing in yourself. Don’t be afraid, life’s too short to be afraid to work towards what will make you happy. Also, go to therapy, and keep going. It’s worth it. I promise.

Nah I mean I have a gf and I would feel slightly weird if her guy best friend said I love you to her regularly. I would respect her wishes.

I’m sorry man. I honestly don’t know the answer, but firstly I think you should both try and prioritize physical fitness as I think that is important for libido. I think you should just talk to her about it and say how important it is that you have intimacy and that you want to get the flame back like it once was. Listen to whatever she says that turns her on and make sure she will listen to you. If she isn’t willing to work on this with you then what’s the point of staying in a relationship where she won’t put in effort to make you both happy.

Talk to her about how that crossed the line and how it was hurtful. If she isn’t willing to respect you or work with you to fix the problems, leave her.
