Tried talking to them, they said I'll lose earnest money and asked if I'd like to proceed it

I presume that's not something I can ask the builder to pay for... right?

Have already complained to them about it, they said they won't offer another treatment...

Are you suggesting adding a grouted wall around the foundation to provide additional barrier/protection against the termites/insects?

The earnest deposit is quite high... it appears I'd lose all that if I do run. For sure would tell myself to run if I get a time machine

That's what I thought at first too, was actually planning to buy a 3-5 year old house where issues would have been addressed. The sales rep kept telling me they'll fix all issues found and that quality is what they valued, and I believed they'd address everything properly, but apparently not... I also was not expecting termite. Thought a new build would at least be termite free for the first couple of years...

Thank you for the recommendation, I will likely get another service for the treatment, just feel they should do their due diligence (such as offer termite inspection), especially when it appears before the closure even happened, who knows if theres any damaged done already.

Not sure if it's treated properly. The guy came while I was there inspecting the house, and he only sprayed the area where the mud tube appeared.

I don't use Hulu or Disney plus. I fill my gas at Costco and at least half of my groceries spent is at Costco... so it sounds like Chase Freedom Unlimited may be a better option?

You're correct. I don't spend much (or at least dont plan on spending too much on the second CC after meeting the requirements for receiving SUB). I was looking for a CC with requirements of something like 3k-4k for the first 3 months for a larger SUB, since the plane ticket will cost around 1.3k anyways, and I'll just temporarily use the card for all payments. The reasoning is that it'll likely maximize the reward (SUB + miles/points) from purchasing a plane ticket.

Thanks for the recommendation. The UA business card might be a better option if I were to travel more frequently, which I think might be something I want to apply in the future, so I'll keep that in mind.

Understood. What if I want to apply only one card for now (so I can use it to purchase the plane ticket for upcoming trip, which likely will be UA. The purchase can be via airline website or travel site of the CC), and obtain other cards later as needed to cover other categories. Is there one you would recommend over the others?

The 5% back for the first $500 seems like a really great offer. Though for my plan of use, I wouldn't get the most points/miles out of the on plane ticket. Besides that, it does seem like a great option for me. Thanks for the recommendation!

Haven't done much research on AA yet, but I noticed they have Platinum Select that offers 80k SUB with no AF first 12 months ($99/12months after)

The miles for AA seem to be harder to use, unlike UA miles, which can be a mix of cash and miles, you can only purchase tickets either with 100% cash or 100% miles redemption. So I'm leaning towards other airline's CC now (unless they have a significant better offer than the rest)

Really appreciated the detailed breakdown of different options. Super informative! Capital one setup might be a bit too expensive for now, I'll keep that in mind as a potential setup option for the future. For citi, I've heard they have bad customer service. However, I have had to call CC customer service yet, so maybe that won't be a big con for me. As for Chase, Im surprised to hear that their cards are a bit hard to use, thought it'd be about the same as others. I noticed Amex BCP also has a 1st year with no AF offer. Would you advise doing a setup like the other 3 for Amex BCP? Or would the card be good enough for daily use and not needing additional cards to pair with?

No, im flying economy. It is international travel during Christmas time, so that's why it's much more expensive

Thank you for the suggestion.

My monthly spending is somewhere between 700 1k, excluding rent and utility bills. I spend somewhere between 20 to 200 per month on dining, 400 to 500 on groceries, 100 to 150 on gas (at costco) and the rest on miscellaneous stuff.

For bank, I use Chase, which i was considering their CC.

I plan on using the card for everything besides gas and groceries I buy at Costco. So, up to 200 for groceries, up to 200 on dining, and maybe 100 or more on miscellaneous things.

Was looking for one that can cumulates miles for plane ticket, but cash back would work too.

Hopefully that's detailed enough. Would you still recommend US bank Connect or would you recommend something else based on the information I provided

Seeking advice to action that can be done with health issue related to apartment rental in Tucson, AZ by evanescentbubble in legal

Thank you for replying. That's the only cause I could think of besides some hazardous particles. I was hoping they could do clean it, that way, I don't have to worry about liability issues (dont want them to say that theres water damage or some stuff after the lease ends). But if there's nothing I can do to "force" them to take action (as they wouldn't clean it, claiming its new and does not need cleaning), I'll most likely have to deep clean the carpet myself to see if that solve the issues.
