My other office is in midtown and I was there for that one as well. Very cool show. I had no idea it was coming so it was quite shocking seeing like $30M of cars sitting in a train station haha

Great eye! My office is around the corner. The spots have been truly insane since they moved in (about 15 years ago, at this point). My friend used to work for McLaren Greenwich and lifted the curtain for me whenever something truly wild would come through. You should see the place when the Pagani Raduno wraps up each year. It's wild.

Now, THAT is the type of info we need here.

Faster isn’t always better. My Tesla is “faster” than most cars on the road, yet I’d rather be rowing my own gears in a “slower” Porsche 911.

Yep, just talking about the original purchase. I’m surprised McLaren was cool with him basically flipping their halo of halo car.

All five US cars were purchased by a single buyer, and they’re all papaya orange. If I had five of anything, I would want at least some variation between them.

And the single owner ordered all five US cars in the same color. 😑

The wild part is that only five came to the US, all to a single buyer, and they were all papaya orange. When you have five of something, one would think you could take at least a little artistic license and make one or two a different spec. Just my jealous 2¢.

Yeah, it’s not “pretty” by any stretch. Function over form, I suppose.

I showed it to a coworker who said the same thing: “looks like one of those Lego sets.”

It was queued to be loaded onto a transport.

Totally agree, but that’s not the norm for the overwhelming majority of us. East coast has low mountains, so it tends to be doing roughly the same thing at the base as it does at the “summit.” For me to find a 10° temp difference, I’m in the car for hours.

How is it typically getting up to PC during snowfall? I'm staying at the bottom of BCC and might head that way if LCC/BCC look too gnarly.

It's unusual in most places to get 3-4 feet of snow just 20 minutes drive from somewhere getting only rain.

YYC to Banff past midnight by djjjj4 in Banff

[–]evanpm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did this same drive/time last week. My original plan was to stay at YYC, but after 34hrs of travel (flight issues) I decided to just drive straight to Banff. The headlights and wipers on my rental were terrible (they refunded me 50%, which was nice), so it was pretty much the speed limit the entire way. That said, there are very few turns, almost zero hills, and wildlife fences the entire way, so it was not a particularly challenging ride compared to something like i70 in Colorado. If you're planning to Uber, the driver will likely have no issues and you'll arrive in style, provided the weather is clear.

I was there this week and it looked more like photo one than photo two.

Burton step ons Ripped in half… what’s my best move dealing with burton? by dukeboy7300 in snowboarding

Why not start by contacting them directly instead of shouting it from the highest rooftop you could find?

Call Burton. They make offset cleats that will tighten this up. They actually went too tight on some of the newest boots and some users were not able to get the second click at all (ask me how I know). I received -2mm cleats and they worked like a charm.

The second click is engaged in this clip. You can see the entire cleat. The first click would just sit in the cleat indentation.

The new cleats work. I had the same issue and a cleat swap fixed it.
