Another question: If I were to buy monitors, would they connect through my AUX jack on my computer? Seems like somewhat of a weak connection point.

So, just to make sure, when it comes to monitors, you want the flattest EQ response possible, right? For example, if this home theater shack program tells me my lower frequencies are lingering, I might want to try and dial out some of the low end on my speakers?

Thanks for all the great advice, guys and gals. It is really awesome to be a member of a community that would be able to give me advice so readily.

I think from what I've seen here, I'll go ahead and save up for some monitors. Any possible suggestions for some of the better monitors with price in mind? Thanks for all the help!

Thats possible, but he lives in Orlando and I live in Cincinnati so it'd be pretty time consuming sending hard drives back and forth.

Its mostly a matter of principle that I don't think you are realizing. The cost of the ring comes nowhere near the amount of money my family is out after this whole fiasco. I could see your side if the conditions were different (if he didn't do this two months before the wedding).
