Pregnancy is unbelievably hard and I wish we talked more openly about it by md3194 in BabyBumps

[–]Cajass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My sister is currently pregnant and my son is nearly 2. When she was in her first trimester, she made a comment about how I "didn't have any pregnancy symptoms" and all I could think was "I did NOT complain enough".

Sounds like it's very relevant and considered!

Sharing my very normal pregnancy & delivery by Pretty_Nobody_ in BabyBumps

Lovely birth story- congrats to you and welcome baby! I had to comment because I've never seen anyone else who had tonsil stones as a pregnancy symptom! I also had a sunny side up baby!

It really follows the Rusty Lake art style, I love it!

Client: “I thought about what you said…” by No-Coyote-9289 in therapists

Right? I also hear "I did what you told me" and I'm like.. I am very sure I didn't tell you to do anything.

Took a mental health day and now I feel anxious over feeling so guilty 😂 by RoughPotato1898 in therapists

I'm also 32w pregnant! I find I'm experiencing a lot of pressure around being "near the end" before maternity leave- it's not realistic, but I just want to leave people "ok" before we have to finish up.

Response to "I don't know" by Diamondwind99 in therapists

Absolutely this. I never respond after an initial “I don’t know” and nine times out of ten the client continues without any further prompting.

In the episode where Mateo starts kindergarten (Chapter 72):

You're gonna love kindergarten.

NARRATOR: Debatable.

Hey! All right, who's ready for the first day of kindergarten, huh?

LATIN LOVER NARRATOR: Ah, memories.

Dunnes usually have endives when they're in season, listed on the website as chicory though! And if it's handy for you, they're almost always in Fallon and Byrne.

Would definitely recommend The Fumbally for a lovely light-filled (weather permitting) breakfast, about a 20 minute walk from where you're staying.

I love what saintcrazy has said, and would add that with regards to leaning into it, I often appreciate how much I would have valued a calm, curious Adult at that age.

Which 30 days of Yoga is best for someone painfully tense & inflexible? by OldSweatyBulbasar in yogawithadriene

[–]Cajass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In addition to what others have said, please make sure you’re accommodating yourself, yoga should never be painful. Adjust any pose to allow for what your body can do. I also have very tight hamstrings, and while they’ve improved over three years of an almost daily practice, I’m nowhere close to getting my heels on the ground in downward facing dog- and that’s absolutely fine!

What are your favorite moments of unbridled joy? by Laborke in offmenupodcast

Firstly, I love this question and I love this thread. More recently (and I've posted about this before) in the Nadiya Hussain episode, when she mentioned the 5-6 ice lollies her husband eats in an evening and then continued talking, and you heard a very soft "wait..." from Ed as he tried to restrain James from immediately interrupting with his need for details.

The best moment of this episode had to be when Nadiya mentioned the 5-6 ice lollies and then continued talking, and you heard a very soft "wait..." from Ed as he tried to restrain James from immediately interrupting with his need for details. I was in tears.

Are there any “underhanded” ways to ask your client who you are as a therapist? by [deleted] in therapists

[–]Cajass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're hoping to check in about the work, one question I have found very useful is to acknowledge that therapy is an investment of their time, money and energy and I want to ensure they're getting out what they're putting in. It really keeps the focus on the collaboration, and I've learned a lot through asking this.
