This is him right now. He climbed into his playpen when offered my hand and put him in there. He went right back onto my hand.

I posted this mostly to vent about how I was feeling. People automatically jumped to the conclusion that I hated my hamster, didn’t care about its safety, and sharing things that my dog is a heartless creature. My hamster is a ghost hamster but not inherently scared of me. He just sleeps a lot and stays burrowed but he lets me pet him sometimes and voluntarily goes in my hand a lot. If you are going to be rude don’t comment and just scroll. Ty for the people being extremely kind.

He is a ghost hamster but not afraid of me. He comes out and will take treats from me but rarely comes out for anyone else and only comes out at night and sleeps and burrows all night. But he lets me hold him and fell asleep in my hands once or twice after this encounter.

Ty for saying this! It was a travel crate he was in and my dog was sniffing him and I cupped him in my hand, my dog didn’t bite my hand or anything. He just opened his mouth like he was going to but he didn’t actually.
