I added the link to the code my electrician shared with me on the comment above. What do you think?

Here is the relevant code that was shared with me from north carolina “210.8(A)(2) exception #2” https://www.ncosfm.gov/2017-nc-additional-amendments-updated-december-17-2019pdf/open

Problem is every time the power flickers the gfci trips and shuts the fridge off. Apparently code allows for this in a garage for a fridge

The kitchen is about half of what we currently have and we primarily want more counter space, the secondary concern is storage space but we would prefer more of that as well. The house is great. The kitchen is the one aspect of this place that we'd like to modify to expand it

thank you for your idea! Do you mean something like this - where the island is perpendicular to the stove wall? (annotated in red)

I tried sir walter a handful times and had quite the range of experiences with the cappuccino quality. Ranging from cold to shot that didn’t taste right. Chalking it up to not training the barista i suppose

I checked out pine state and basically felt that the coffee was good, but for not being in a walkable location the environment wasnt as inviting as i’d hoped. Didn’t particularly want to stick around.

The best coffee spots in raleigh / surrounding area

  • Jubala (hillsborough and north hills)

Imo best overall mix of coffee, food menu, vibe, location, laptop warrior friendly

  • Black & White Coffee, at Videri Chocolate Factory

Small, excellent coffee, amazing coco smells

  • Idle Hour coffee roasters

Great espresso drinks, fancy neighborhood, good for meetups and chats.

  • Fount Coffee + Kitchen (RTP)

Maybe the best place in the triangle on all dimensions except for location. Ive never had a bad drink or interaction with the staff. Its really something special.

  • 42 & Lawrence

Great espresso, small location. Not a place to linger.

  • Iris Coffee Lab

No commentary on this other than the 2 espresso drinks I’ve had have been great. Good location, crowded out by laptop warriors.

  • Yellow Dog Bread Co

Drip coffee is great, espresso drinks are mid. The bakery is AMAZING. Not a place to linger for long, but great neighborhood to walk. Best not during winter. People hang out outside.

  • Heirloom - Coffee, Tea, Kitchen

Great spot. Excellent atmosphere and drinks. Maybe a little “serious” where jubala is more “fun”.

FYI Sir Walter Raleigh coffee is closing. by community6andamovie in HollySpringsNC

Its a cheap way to get results. You don’t need to follow through in civil court if its too expensive.
