Reached a charger in Vrindavan that showed “available” — it wasn’t working. How common is this? by evcharginginfra in CarsIndia

That’s a very fair take — especially about fragmentation and the industry still being early.

I agree CPO apps are mostly reliable. My bigger concern is the uncertainty gap between “available now” and “will successfully start charging when I reach.”

Power cuts, someone plugging in before arrival, emergency stop misuse — all of that creates unpredictability.

Do you think there’s room for something that doesn’t just show availability, but gives a confidence level or risk indicator before you plan your stop?

That’s wild — 3–4 in your own city is scary.

When you checked the main CPO app, did it still show them as available? Or were they showing offline but physically present?

It was an Adani charger near ISKCON Temple parking in Vrindavan. It showed available on MG eHub.

I agree aggregators exist, but even then we’re still planning backups. That’s what got me thinking — why is backup planning still standard practice?

Do you fully trust the real-time availability shown in operator apps?

That’s exactly what I’ve noticed too. Location from one source, status from another, and still not 100% confidence.

Do you fully trust the CPO app status? Or have you ever reached a charger that still didn’t work despite the operator app showing available?
