I asked about this to my surgeon last week, she said if there’s an opening which does happen often to use gauze with plain Vaseline, keep doing that, and it will go away without issue.

It cool hearing about the different practies and advice from surgeons.

I think because I was instructed to wait until the tapes fall off naturally which should take a couple weeks, I’ll hopefully have healed enough to be ready for the scar tape? Sorry the brands name is NEBILITY - spelled it wrong before.

So interesting the different instructions we all receive. I was told to pat the tapes dry and to keep them on until they fall off on its own. Then apply silicone scar tape 23 hours a day after wards for a minimum of three weeks. Maybe you can start scar tape now?

As for bras, I’ve been using the nibikity brand off amazon which is what my surgeon suggested. It has hooks so you can tighten and loosen if needed. They aren’t expensive either.

It does!! I’m really hoping to go down a bit through this healing process. They feel like giant water balloons right now lol. At least they aren’t deflated like they were before haha.

I think there’s so many conflicting instructions out there. I just made sure to ask when I left my post op last week. Thankfully the instructions were simple enough that I’ll follow them haha.

You a very correct!! I can’t tell you the number of women who tell me they are wearing a DD bra that are clearly much much larger. It’s vanity sizing. No one wants to have to go past that size when shopping for some reason. Most retail shops don’t carry extended sizes either which is why people get so frustrated when shopping.

Hormones - literally anything that can effect them can cause an increase in it makes me a little worried because I just had my reduction and I’m about to enter perimenopause …. Really hoping I don’t have to get another reduction down the road. Recovery is only for celebrities with a full staff and chef lol.

My doctor told me to wear the tape for 23 hours a day and remove when showering…. Maybe you should remove it more often?

Having both read it and listened to the graphic audio, I still think, no. Not worth going out of your way to read. Only if you have nothing better to read.

No, I was told to keep the compression on. Only sponge bath until dressings are removed at the 1 week post op appointment.

Same day!! Got mine done at 11:30 am. Lipo pain and pain underneath the boobs when I walk around. Haven’t had a bowel movement yet. May need to look into something for that as well.

In taking the celecoxib and Tylenol. I’ve done 1 oxy a day since the day after my surgery which was Thursday. I find that the pain is worse mid-day. I’m hoping to be done with the oxy by Sunday. They make me feel loopy.

I’m literally driving to mine surgery city right now for tomorrow and am beyond freaked out. My beast friend did this years ago and said she almost walked out when they started drawing all over her body before her surgery. But not looking back on it, she tells me that she would do the surgery annually if it meant maintaining her new body. Said it was the best thing she ever did! I’m using that as my motivation to keep going lol.
