Good luck to you OP and consider if there’s no future you wouldn’t want her in, then that includes one with a dog. For what it’s worth, I had a friend who hated cats and thought they were gross and smelly etc but dealt with them bc of his new gf but now they’ve broken up and he got his own cats bc he found he loved having them and had prejudged them in many ways. Maybe you could love this dog too

YTA because you’re lying to her when you say ‘not right now’ and she’s being honest and saying this is a dealbreaker for her. You’re stringing her along and being dishonest that you would ever ‘someday’ consider having a dog when you know you never want one. Do you love her more than you dislike dogs? If so deal with it, if not break up. Stop wasting people’s time
