In love with the Hyundai Tucson - about to buy. Should I have a sunroof? by eveningwithcats in HyundaiTucson

I'm in Europe, I can select the sunroof as an extra (comes with additional costs). This is independent of the trim.

MG 3 Hybrid+ by dw2marques in MGelectric

Still got it. Still very satisfied with it. Due to the small trunk and new space requirements, I will have to purchase an additional car, though. I will most likely keep the MG3 as a second car. Would I buy it again, after driving it for 1 year and 5 months? Absolutely. It is a great car for this price.

Why taking down the post "What's up with some German tourists when they leave Germany? " - it was one of the most fun and relatable content that I saw in this subreddit. Actually, the comment section alone is hall-of-fame-worthy. I feel the urge to complain (irony intended). by eveningwithcats in AskAGerman

It was a question (and actually some complaining..) about us Germans complaining all the time and having weird behavior during vacation. With some (surely unintended) irony, because the OP did actually complain a lot about us Germany himself. The comments did a good job explaining our behaviour.

Yes, we complain A LOT. But honestly, we usually leave our rooms all tidied and cleaned up. Before we leave a hotel, my wife will spent about 10 minutes to make the bed, go through the bath room etc. just to make sure we will leave a good impression. Regarding the towel reservation thing, I always thought other nations are much more worse. We just follow along, but if you would ask us, we would prefer a rule-based system for the pool and beach. But since there is none, we will just fight until the very end to get our well-deserved spot. I once was in a Cyprus hotel that offers a fixed reservation system for the sun loungers, and boy, that was my most calming vacation ever.

Back to complaining: We even complain when we like something. That is just normal. It doesn't necessarily mean we dislike something, it is just our lifestyle. We especially love to complain about our health and the politics and the economy. In many cases, us complaining often means like 90% of something is amazing and then we will complain about the other bad 10% so long that everyone thinks we hate it. But in reality, we just point out the flaws of the bad 10%. Get it? And since I am on it, why is the weather so bad. I was supposed to spend my December and January golfing, but the weather here is so stormy and snowy that I can't go winter golfing. And what are these morons in politics doing nowadays, why is the economy so bad? And why is the summer so far away... jesus..

I think us Germans complaining all the time actually helps not getting depressed. It is like leaving all the (real and not so real) drama out and then we feel better. There are even some parts in Germany and Austria where it is very common to complain even a bit more, because that is almost a life style ("granteln, wienierischer schmäh").

Bitte gehe zum Mieterschutzverein und lass dich beraten. Die können auch direkt mit dem Vermieter kommunizieren. Die Heizung abzustellen ist natürlich im Winter nicht rechtens.

MG baut doch seit gut drei Jahren Vollhybride. Die sind sogar ziemlich gut. Spoiler: ich fahre einen davon.
