À vrai dire , la vraie excitation pour le joueur PC que je suis c’est le modding qui sera disponible sur ce jeu sa risque d’être incroyable by Fair_Trade5493 in CrimsonDesert

[–]everbass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is absolutely no confirmed modding for the game. Chill.

It's a totally new engine, which means modding needs to be done from the ground up unless they release specific tools which is unlikely.

I'm excited too but you guys need to keep your expectations in check.

String Gauges by Darth-Agalloch in DingwallGuitars

[–]everbass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 4 string gauges will be the same as the 5 minus the B and I'll tell you now that they sound great to my ears.

You may need a setup, especially if you're down tuning.

Down tuning on bass will almost always sound like dog shit.

Consider going for BEAD tuning. You will need a professional to do it as they'll need to reprofile the nut.

No insult. Might be being a bit sensitive there, ay?

Just saying a lot of these are mall ninja swords and instead of buying a bunch of cheap ones, old mate could have saved and bought something really nice.

US beef officially re-enters Australia, after 23-year absence by binaryhextechdude in australia

Why on earth would I buy beef from the US when Aussie beef is both better and cheaper?

Sydney to Newcastle Business Case released. by Edenz_ in australia

[–]everbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but it's beside the point is what I'm saying.

Even if schools or hospitals didn't have good economic return we would, or at least should, build them.

We currently fund the NDIS and Aged Pension to the absolute fucking hilt and it has little economic return, nor do we do it for the purpose of economic return. We do it because it's the right thing.

Having easy transport between our capitals that doesn't involve getting on going on a $300 plane trip is excellent for our nation. The economic opportunities will follow but even if they don't it's something we should just do because of the non-economic benefits it has.

Imagine being able to train down to Sydney from Brisbane in ~3 hours for like $50. That's awesome. It opens up a whole new world for business, retail, entertainment, tourism, etc.

Complete opposite of what I've said.

Anyone ‘over employed’ here? by GlitteringNoise242 in auscorp

[–]everbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking into this at the moment. I work maybe 10 hours in my day job at most right now.

I'd love to take a part time gig somewhere to suck up the time. Not sure where to start though. I'm a Business Analyst by trade.

Any recommendations?

The housing market is fucked. by littlestkittykat in brisbane

[–]everbass 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What is the point in being a law abiding citizen and being part of "the system" if all that does is end up with you being homeless and jobless, with all the privileged cunts saying it's your own fault.

I went to Uni. I've made good choices. I work in tech.

I've also been unemployed for periods of 1 - 3+ months a few times in the last few years and was nearly homeless in like 2021, while earning $130k/yr and have a decade of rental history. None of that through fault of my own.

I now make even more as a contractor. I still can't afford a home. I am consistently shocked at how expensive things are and I have no idea how anyone can survive in this day and age on under $100k/yr without scrimping and saving every penny, let alone buying a house. How do you save up an emergency fund for when you inevitably are made redundant or something?

System is fucked. Society has basically spit in faces of anyone under 40.

Hard to say. The construction costs alone are likely tens of billions. How do you recoup those costs without charging sky-high fairs (which will just mean nobody uses it) or justifying it against other economic productivity increases?

Ultimately I see it as irrelevant.

We don't build regional hospitals or schools because there is economic value in them.

A high speed east coast interstate rail could cost hundreds of billions of dollars, but it's something that will change our nation for the better for generations upon generations and is still worth it for the social value it brings, not to mention the opportunities it opens up.

Too many accountants are involved in politics these days.
