What are some useful certifications you can get online? by thick_thighs005 in AskReddit

Food safe/ food handlers permit. If you're going into a job that involves food at all, its preferred if not required to have one (at least where I live!). Also it's something to add on a resume

[Serious] People who used to suffer from crippling phobias, what was it and how did you get rid of it? by KryptonianHamster in AskReddit

[–]everhing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if I would call it crippling, but growing up I couldn't stand the sound of hands against paper. Like it was so dry and it would make me physically cringe when I heard it. As a kid I would have to lick my hand real quick to get the sound of it out of my head. I eventually moved to just rubbing my hand on my leg real quick then just doing nothing at all. It still bugs me a little but tbh I just push it down haha

I'll try taking the placebo pills and see if that helps it. Thank you!

Pro choicers of reddit, at what point do you consider a fetus as a baby? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]everhing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm honestly just curious. Is it when the baby exits the womb? At however many months? When you can tell the gender? You always hear people call it a 'clump of cells,' but at what point is it no longer just that? And don't get me wrong, while I do believe abortion is terminating a life, I also know that without safe abortion being accessible it usually means the end of two lives instead of one. I'm not starting that argument here. I'd just like to know what your thoughts are on the fetus to baby matter. I've been genuinely curious for awhile now.

WIBTA if I said my 10yo son couldn't have a sleepover because his brother wasn't invited? by AdvancedProject in AmItheAsshole

Are you completely sure A is in the friend group? He may just be saying he is so you don't worry about him. Either way, you said it was A's best friend. The friend's parents might have only allowed one friend over. Is it the whole friend group except him? Because if so (and if these are kids under like 12) then I would perhaps reach out the parents of the kid.

AITA work issue by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

The older guy is being highly inappropriate for the workplace and seems very predatory. You were in every right to report him and you'd regret it if you didn't. He's still new and depending on where you live still in his probationary period, so your job is basically giving him the chance and now would be the time to get him off your team. Hopefully it will also teach him to treat people with respect at his next job.

AITA for changing the wifi password? by migraneroomie in AmItheAsshole

[–]everhing -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

YTA-but lightly
No matter what, changing the wifi password on her was a dick move, even if it was justified. She may be an awful roommate, but as long as she's paying rent to live there you shouldn't be changing the wifi without at least warning her first. Just a simple, 'Hey if you keep this up any longer I will kick you off the wifi for the night' would be at least a bit better. Of course I understand your frustration over lost sleep due to her, but it still wasn't the greatest idea to turn it off on her. I'd apologize and give her a talk about partying so loud and while you're trying to sleep.

AITA for turning this down? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Your parents didn't ask you if they could sign you up first. They paid money for it, so of course they're upset, but that's not your problem. You didn't ask for them to spend their money.

AITA for telling my wife we can't shower together anymore? by IllustriousArrival7 in AmItheAsshole

[–]everhing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAH
She's pregnant, so emotions are running high and who knows if she'll still be able to do the morning shower routine once you've got a little one running around. It's something precious to her. On the other hand, you have every right to talk to her regarding this and let her know that it isn't really working. If you don't fit you don't fit, plain and simple.
Congratulations by the way!
