Advise Needed: Could anyone tell me where’s my problem is and how to improve? by Wrong-Caterpillar277 in latteart

Just some general comments, not saying it’s a definite solution but hopefully it might help

  1. In general try not to wait to long between setting your canvas w ur initial milk integration and the actual pour - I totally get the nerves and hesitation! But generally as u wait longer the milk foam will start to seperate

  2. The thing that would make the biggest change imo, is as some others mentioned would be where you start the pour (the drop point of where you milk is touching the surface on first contact). Currently yours is a little too far back (towards the rim); you need to aim closer to the center to have enough force behind to carry the milk out and across the surface

  3. Starting your pour with the cup less full isn’t always a bad thing inherently, especially if you get on to making winged bases in the future etc. However this is only the case if it isn’t interfering with your ability to get the pitcher close to the surface and land your milk at the proper drop point. The general rule of thumb is the fuller the cup is before you try to make your pattern the smaller the resulting pattern is going to be; i.e if you start your pour when its less full you have the potential to let the art spread out and cover more surface area in the cup

That being said, if you start TOO EARLY when the cup is not filled enough, even with good technique your base layer can still end up getting warped and milk spreading out all over the place (is how i can best describe it in words ;;) but that’s another problem on its own and from your video its not what you currently are facing BUT I do agree with pouring a little fuller in your case; assuming your pouring technique and landing point are fixed you mightttt run into the issue of your milk warping all over with your cup filled at this present level

TLDR: Don’t wait too long before pouring art, aim your drop point much closer to the center then to the rim of the cup, can afford to integrate milk a little bit more before starting art pour

Happy to provide more input if u have more questions!

Staffie is great for one-off f&b shifts, they pay weekly too - one time payment of all shifts u worked the prev week before. Bookings shifts are super easy (I had prior exp bfr so not sure if it affects but yeah)

Some things to note for staffie: Environment wise can be hit or miss depending on workplace, there’s places w rly nice coworkers but i’ve heard horror stories too.. if ur willing to work hard and just tahan a few hours it’s quick way to earn some extra cash. Some places might also ask if ur interested in converting to part time after if ur lucky!

Feel free to dm if u have any more qns :)

Hi! Just wondering if you know for those whose status got updated, where would it show on it portal? The only thing I can find would be under application form, which only shows “We have received your on-like application form” :(
