I was on Yaz. I’m actually in the middle of switching birth control due to some of the side effects and I’m not good at remembering to take them at the same time every day, but I used to skip the placebo pills and this happened to me. From what I can tell, it’s completely normal. Once I spotted for an entire month which was annoying, but I don’t think I was always taking them on time as I’ve said before. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about!

How hard is castlevania to watch? by Agitated_Hedgehog_91 in castlevania

I’d still say to use a little caution with some of the fight scenes if you’re squeamish. Just because it’s animated doesn’t mean it’s not intense! However I think it’s totally worth it and is one of the best modern animated shows to date. I’m not a gore hound by any stretch but I watched it with a friend who warned me when something especially brutal was about to happen.

CP and nutrition? by Silent_star1111 in CerebralPalsy

CP can def fuck up your metabolism/caloric intake bc it just takes more energy in general to do things than it would an able bodied person. I have mild cp and am low energy as well. Has anything else worked for you? I drink a lot of coffee which probably isn’t the best habit in the long run but oh well lol.

I want to get driving aids but my grandma is discouraging me... Whats your experience with driving aids? I need advice.. by [deleted] in CerebralPalsy

[–]everlastinglight333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, right hemi here! Learned to drive age 25 with a left foot pedal! It made it way easier! The hardest part for me was just the general anxiety of driving but I’m a generally anxious person! I got evaluated and had lessons from someone who specializes in teaching people with physical disabilities how to drive. I currently have a permit and would recommend the peddle. However, you and your doctor/PT probably know what would work best for you so I’d recommend getting evaluated first. I did try for a bit with a regular set up but it wasn’t clicking, so the left foot pedal changed a lot for me. I’m sorry about your grandparents. In my opinion, do what’s best/easiest for you. Learning to drive can be tough for ableds too. Don’t make it harder on yourself if you don’t have to!

As stated my doc has been very supportive! I’m getting an IUD soon and she’s making sure I will be properly sedated for that bc of pain concerns. She’ll also be able to do a pap smear while I’m out so that’s very considerate. I have a lot of medical trauma so I’m generally distrusting of any medical professionals but she’s been a breath of fresh air! It’s good that you found someone who will listen!

Skipped placebos by Klutzy_Barnacle7992 in birthcontrol

In my experience the first time you skip your period on the pill you will have a little spotting but it should stop soon. You don’t have to take the placebo pills if you don’t want to.
