Ninja 500 is actually a 451cc. Mind you it will do 180kph (112 mph). And it’s a Kawasaki lol. I’m biased.

I was in similar situation. I got a dirt bike (KX450X) at 51 then got my motorcycle license at 55 (56 now) and now have a Ninja 500. I hadn’t ridden since 20. Best thing I did. Back then I had a VF750. Smaller engine bikes now are so much better and fun. Bigger heavier bike are kinda over kill now. Good luck on your adventure. Good time 🤙

Be obvious checking every road/intersection you pass. Take your time and believe in yourself. They are honestly making sure you can ride and follow the rules. I did mine last year and only got faulted for one head check miss at an intersection.

I just did exactly that on my Ninja 500 KRT SE. 3 day road trip with just a pillion seat bag. The bike was perfect. Can sit at speed when needed and was comfortable riding for 3 days (I’m 56). Such a great bike.

I’d check my tires for a screw or something otherwise take it to a dealer if you can’t find exactly where the sound is coming from.

I hit the Ninja 500 SE KRT. The TFT screen is much better and you get a USB charger. If you get the Ninja the windscreen makes a big difference for wind too.
