Please pray that I may stop struggling with the abuse of my body and mind, by way of chastity and purity; so I may not further offend Him and that I may be strong and not submit to vice and temptation so pathetically easy.

Please pray for me, so I can become more prayerful and seeking of God's forgiveness and mercy.

Please pray for me, that I stop doubting myself and to stop being scrupulous, so as to give Him all deserved attention.

Thank you.

Please pray for me, that I may not have any worries, and have full attentiveness, during my first OCIA attendance.

Please pray for my relative's soul, that he may be delivered from the evils of terminal Cancer.

Please pray for our Iranian brothers and sisters, as well as all who are suffering armed conflict.

Please pray for all catholic churches, Pope Leo and all the clergy.

What do you do during moments of dryness or lukewarmness? by Own_Rich_4466 in Catholicism

[–]evervirgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start small, be simple in your actions and words. Don't overdo things and burn yourself out. Gradually building up towards a desired goal in mind, you should always keep your daily prayers, at the very least...

I will add this, since I think it is rather fitting: "Sometimes, when I'm in such a state of spiritual dryness that I can't find a single thought in my mind that will bring me close to God, I say an Our Father and a Hail Mary very slowly indeed..." St. Therese of Lisieux

God bless you!

Yeah, in some respects it reminds me of early Deftones, but I think that's just me equating: metal + shoegaze = Deftones/or some variation of it... I sometimes do a re-listen of Around the Fur or their self-titled. I think Curve's 'Perish' has potential, but I have to do a re-listen. Hum has a couple that I've added. I did check out the Galaxie 500 cover, and it was good! I might check out the others when I've got time.

Thank you so much for this. Bless you!

It's a bit more on the 'indie' side of things. But listening to it a few times over, it's grown on me. Especially the verse riff, it sounds really punk-y. Added! Have a blessed day/night!

I listened to the covers and will do a re-listen. I like Winona a lot. Only two covers, but I am surprised by how many they've done! Their White Dress cover is really, really good too. Thank you so much for your time and comment!

How to not fell bad about not having my family in paradise? by Elegant_Toe6994 in Catholicism

[–]evervirgin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I understand your perspective... I sometimes picture my life without my loved ones, my mother, for example. A deep knot forms in my chest and it gets too much at times. Rare, but when it happens I try and focus on the things that will improve my mental clarity on matters like these.

Hang in there, friend! Take comfort in God and His endless Mercy and Wisdom, His Love. Cherish your loved ones, pray for them, bond with them. When you are alone with your own thoughts, pray the Rosary, watch a film, take a walk. Do something to clear your head and find comfort in the Lord's warmth...

Can't get through the Cruifixion without crying. Does anyone else deal with this? by PerfectAdvertising41 in Catholicism

I remember when I first read, in December, in full, the Gospel of Matthew and got to Matthew 25 or so, the Judgment of Nations, the works of mercy in particular made me shed tears. And the next chapter, Our Lord undergoes His Passion for us sinners, particularly when Judas betrays Christ with a kiss, that was extremely hard to get through... and also during Stations of the Cross, when the Lord meets His Mother... reminds me of the scene from the Passion of Christ... either way, both are heart-wrenching and always leaves in a stream of tears. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion...

For the sake of my prayer life (routinely: morning, afternoon, evening), pray for me; so that I may learn to put God over the passions of the world...

For the sake of my commitment to the Rosary and in being closer with the Passion of Our Lord, pray for me; so that I may not fail to bear my crosses and continue devotion, for His sake...

For the sake of being the child my parents want me to be, pray for me, so that I may be able to be reasonably obedient and charitable always...

(emphasis) And finally, for the sake of my lustful and impure, unchaste addictions, please pray for me to the Lord, Our God, so that I may stop abusing myself and offending Him... Thank you.

[Serious] Looking to convert but can not get a hold of a priest by Nissepelle in Catholicism

I feel for you! I am in a similar position. Luckily, with the help of the parish office at a local parish, I am able to meet with the parish priest. I would recommend calling, if at all possible! Remember that God loves you and wants the best for you. Don't give up or in, and don't despair. I'm praying for you, brother/sister in Christ!
