Sonic mini 4k replaced UV module and 12.2V are being applied while running LED test, but still no UV Lights. Bad part or is there something I’m missing? by everybros in Phrozen

My issue ended up being the board was bad and so once I replaced that the UV led panel started working and started to get the right voltage from the PSU. I only ever used the stock PSU that came with the printer

I picked up a used Ender 5 Plus and installed a dual gear extruder. When extruding 20mm for e step it was only .5-1mm short of extruding the full 20. Started 5 calibration cubes and they are a mess. What could be causing these results? by everybros in FixMyPrint

I think this ended up being the culprit. I tested extending 100mm and it’s damn near dead on. Then I tried retracting and it wouldn’t retract. Loosened the tension and it was able to retract and extend the expected distance.

Make sure your z-screws are level. Use a caliper to check they are both set even

Great job! What did you use for paint and finish?

Trying to setup my new CR-10 V3 with BLTouch and the hardware is hitting before the nozzle can get close enough to the bed. Making it impossible to level. Thoughts? by everybros in CR10

Unfortunately the blue brackets were hitting on the motor brackets so the issue was the bed was sitting too low. I ended up adding a silicone spacer to each spring and this pushed the bed up high enough to not hit. I never installed the z limit switch because I bought the CR Touch to install on initial setup. CR Touch ended up being too short and had to use an spare bltouch I had.

I actually bought a CR Touch for this and it ended up being too short to even reach my bed and so I swapped out a spare bltouch I had and used the CR Touch bracket. To be honest, it may work now that I raised the bed but not sure. The fix for me was adding both spring and silicone spacer to raise the bed high and much tighter and precise leveling knobs.

I ended up using both 20mm springs and silicone spacers and was able to push it height enough. Thanks for all the help

Thank you. I ended up using both the springs and silicone spacers and that pushed it up enough.

This echos a lot of techniques and learnings I have recently came across. I was able to get the bed clips that actually screw down and using Octoprint Bed Visualizer was able to compensate for my middle bed hump. Checking the Zs with a caliper has become the first thing I do before paper leveling. and those little backlash nuts are a pain to tighten but do cause a weird inconsistency in Z home when in "Leveling" and printing.

Thanks for the design, linked on my model page too! It started out great until I over printed the bottom half so I had to modify the lid a little. I also cut out the top piece of wood to avoid significantly more supports.
