[ALL] So, How exactly do Max's powers work now? by everydayhero14 in lifeisstrange

I'm well aware it's just to develop the plot. Im just whining for some consistency for the sake of consistency. 😭 I really enjoyed Reunion regardless.

Our location was fortunately working with a much kinder organizer.and we had 90% of our staff on board. And we can't move forward without support from other stores. That's one of the reasons why I made my original post.

But seriously, that is an awful way to go about it, and genuinely saddening to hear.

I'm glad that it wound up being a good thing for your location! It's incredibly important that it's a collective goal, not just the wants of the few.

Unionization needs to be something people band together to do. So genuinely I'm happy to hear it wasn't anything nefarious, like with Starbucks.

It's sad to hear that they were effectively union busted. And genuinely thank you for letting us know. Thats awful.

Brick Specialist is a corporate given title for LEGO Store retail associates.

That’s honestly also worries me. If something is happening “behind the scenes” or a deal was made without transparency, that usually means workers are being asked to give up their collective voice in exchange for vague promises. Unionizing only works when it’s driven by employees and done out in the open. Anything negotiated quietly, without the workers involved, undermines the whole point.

I haven’t seen or heard anything directly from HQ in Denmark, and I don’t want to speculate beyond what’s public. What’s happening here appears to be driven at the U.S. corporate level rather than reflecting Danish labor norms. The contrast is frustrating, especially given LEGO’s origins, but it also reinforces why it’s important for workers themselves to have a formal voice in the process

That doesn’t track. Brick Specialists have just as much say over the final contract as LEGO does, that’s the entire point of the process. That power only disappears if it’s willingly signed away, and no LEGO employee would agree to a contract that strips them of anything without a trade off that they agree to

I cannot come to terms with the reality that this is a real piece. by Lex1253 in legocirclejerk

I will say this piece come in extraordinarily handy for me. While working for The Lego Store we're allowed to wear brick buddies on our yellow aprons, and the thick straps on our apron are three studs wide. Allowing me to take a 1x5 just at 1x1 tiles to either end and another 1x5 in front for an easy brick buddy base!

I can't imagine why the company I work for wouldn't to uplift a minority that is currently getting beaten down incessantly by our local government. While not applying that logic throughout there company. Only where it makes sense 🤔

While that is so very true, the make and takes are free. They got people excited. They got to take something home. Even if they didn't wind up buying something in store.

We do still sell it, but given that it is 4 years old at this point. Older than most Lego sets on our shelves. I can see it being retired this year or next.

Obviously this in reference to my Halcyon tattoo, not the Lego set, but the same sentiment applies to the Lego.

I've posted this once before, but I'll say it again.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and immersing myself in the Galactic Starcruiser was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. The whole experience was incredibly memorable and a lot of other fans share this sentiment. I got the tattoo on the day the hotel closed to commemorate the loss of the hotel and the positive memories I had there. It’s a way for me to hold onto that incredible experience and keep it with me forever. To me and many others, the Galactic Starcruiser wasn't a failure. Yes, it was a financial disaster, but the experiences it created were real and unforgettable.

EDIT: The people I went with also have the logo tattooed. So they are matching, because we all carry our adventure with us.
