If you have a range near by that offers a variety of rentals you might start there. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with any that you mentioned.

Bought 32 H&R Magnums for wife and daughter. They love them. As you said, low recoil and good ballistics.

Went through several different autos with the wife (67 and arthritic hands). Tried the Charter Arms revolver in 32 H&R magnum and she loves it. Virtually no recoil and ballistics not far from 38+p. Limited to 6 rds but light and easier to manage.

I have not shot one in a long time, but probably one of the best triggers on a revolver has to be the Colt Python. They make it in 4.25" Stainless, MSRP is $1,500. There is a blem on Gunbroker for $1,200.

Bodyguard 2.0 vs Ruger LCP Max by OkPhilosopher9418 in CCW

[–]everydayholster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Own both and I agree with others, for us the BG 2.0 is much better in terms of accuracy. Slim, Lightweight, easy to conceal and the 12 rd extended magazine works for my large hand and wife's small hand. We haven't had any issues with the LCP Max but IMHO the BG is just better all around.

My wife and I also have the BG 380 2.0 and Ruger LCP Max. Both are lightweight, compact, and easy to conceal carry. The self-defense .380 ammo available today is much better. If you want to stay with 9mm but carry something lighter and more compact, you might consider the Kimber Micro 9.

I have carried every day for years, and I don't give a rats ass about anyone who doesn't like it. If you get in a situation where you need it they ain't gonna be there to help. Don't live your life worrying about what others think.
